    matdal:

I agree, and I will apolgize, Have you had any trouble hitting the green on No. 1 at the Olympic in two shots, i sure can't do it.

    Accepted,

That is a hard opening hole, I have to shape my shot (aiming right and hitting past the ding left to carry the FW)  around the dogleg and depending on where the wind is I don't always get as far as I like, I rarely use anything less than a 3w for my second shot.

I can usually make the green in 2 (75-80%) and then birdie the hole about 30-35% of the time.

The higher level clubs are really useful on Olympic.

    good luck.

    Danny

One reason why I'm happy to progress at a very slow rate. Since I don't play a lot of games and I'm not very good I won't mind being a level 80 or 90 Master eventually.  I know the clubs I have are good enough to progress but I'm not good enough.

The US Open Quali Tourney is all players from the Championship Tees. With the driver you have it should be pretty hard to reach in two. I saw your score in the Quali Tourney and it's in line with your average. I'd say that wasn't too bad considering you were playing 2 tees back from your normal.

The top dogs are the top dogs cause they're just that good. The view doesn't change for the rest of us. ;-)

There are time that I have had trouble reaching this hole in 2 even with good clubs.

The complaints in the thread are just not correct, those top guys, many of whom I know work hard at this game to be that good.  This isn't real golf so you can't compare what those players do with what we do on WGT.

I'm older and I think that has a little impact on here.  My reactions aren't as good, my eyes definitely aren't as good, etc.  Still once in a while I get everything going and shoot a real good score well below my 63 average.

I look at it as in real golf.  My handicap is a 5 and generally my score is between 75 and 78, however during a good week last summer I had a 66 and a 68 on two days during the same week.  That is almost 10 strokes below my average.  Same on WGT I can once in a while get a round going and score a 55 or so, I've made it into the Open (US and British) by playing the qualifying until I happen to hit one of those good rounds, anyone can do it although admitted having the best equipment helps.

    In real life,

The USGA has developed the following table which estimates the odds of golfers of different handicap ranges outperforming their handicap by a designated number of strokes. The numbers can be pretty grim.

    Odds Table

    Handicap Index Ranges
    Net Diff 0-5 6-12 13-21 22-30 >30
    0 5/1 5/1 6/1 5/1 5/1
    -1 10/1 10/1 10/1 8/1 7/1
    -2 23/1 22/1 21/1 13/1 10/1
    -3 57/1 51/1 43/1 23/1 15/1
    -4 151/1 121/1 87/1 40/1 22/1
    -5 379/1 276/1 174/1 72/1 35/1
    -6 790/1 536/1 323/1 130/1 60/1
    -7 2349/1 1200/1 552/1 229/1 101/1
    -8 20111/1 4467/1 1138/1 382/1 185/1
    -9 48219/1 27877/1 3577/1 965/1 359/1

I love wgt forums. Where else can you hear prodigy stories of how guys shot a 55ave. in only 18 ranked rounds.

I'm sure there's lots of great folks with great video game abilitys. I absolutely sure that there's many folks stats are just complete multi-account BS.

Just came back from a 6 month break from this game but I was wondering. Do they still sell the tissues in the pro shop?  My damn allergies are killing me :-P
