I disagree. She wasn't invited, she qualified. (If I'm not mistaken.)

    From the article:

Latanna qualified by shooting a two-under 70 in a regional qualifier.  Her handicap is a plus-one.  She drives the ball 225 yards.  And she does not play from the red tees.

The USWA is August 6-12 in Cleveland, where Latanna will compete with the best female amateur golfers in the country.  She's the youngest to ever qualify for the tournament, though it really wasn't a fluke.  She's been swinging a club since she was two, and she's won more than 100 junior tournaments.  At 5'4", she also doesn't look like she's ten--maybe more like 12 or 13.

Nothing gimmicky about it. Just a phenomenal 10 year old golfer who earned her spot.

athletes are getting younger and younger these days therefore they have to prepare and compete earlier and earlier.

more recently in london olympics we saw a 15 yr old girl win gold in a swimming event.

    nothing gimmicky about this.

10 yrs old is way too young.  Doesn't matter how good she is.

She should enjoy being a little girl first before she goes out into the real world.

    Way too young.
