It gets worse: last night I had three players drop out of a Skins game, leaving me alone. I waited for the 5-minute countdown and was told, "the game is over you won three skins!" and then it STILL took percentage off! This idea is turning into crap and is NOT discouraging anyone from quitting a game. Please take it out of the game and back to the drawing board.

I listed a suggestion in another thread which for some reason won't update when I add to it so I'm re-posting it here. I believe the problem with what WGT has tried to do is the fact that the system they chose does not recognize the difference between an involuntary disconnect and a deliberate one. My suggestion was that they implement a "failsafe" by having a dialog box pop up when you try to "X" out of the game which requires you to "X" out again. That is what should count against your percentage as you deliberately left the game. Aside from re-booting your computer to get around it ( and even this could presumably be identified ) I think this may go a long way towards dealing with most players complaints about the current system. Any thoughts on this are welcome.

I had got my percentage to 100% after a number of games only to play 3 consecutive blitz games in which the player who was up to hit disconnected, locking up the game for all of us and moving me down to 90%.

Blitz is the worse because unless it is challenge, you don't go back to the lobby but just get disconnected.  I play a lot of blitz and have come to the conclusion that my target for my percentage has to be around 80%.  That's basically 7 of the last 30 games in which I get charged as a quitter, nothing I can do about it though so I look at the percentage as a guideline.  75 to 100% is pretty good numbers under the circumstances we play with so I join players accordingly.

My impression is that 70% may be a number to have in mind, but the hard value for quitters might be at 50%. 43% were mentioned for an "L" player quitting at hole 2...

The games ppl play are decisive - Skin, Blitz and Stroke pulling deeper than matches and (perhaps) A/S (being out of the equation now?)

Also the country of origin, some having worse communications than others...

    Single play doesn't affect it.
