Number 9 on Oakmont. I could qualify if I can justv figure out how to par number 9. I've tried laying up, hiiting the green, hitting it in the sand and for the love of God cannot par the hole and sometimes end up with a double bogey. Anyone has any advice on what side to hit it on or where to put my second would be greatly appreciated. I have figured out everything except for this one hole. thanks.

    1. Buy 64* satin wedge

    2. Learn how hard you need to hit the 15 yard bunker shot (bout 25 punch)

    3. ?????

    4. profit

Yeah...laying up does def save yourself a crazy score if ya happen to hit it on the green w/ ur second and roll a country mile...yikes....landing it in the bunker for a safe flop myself works..usually gives me a 5 fter up hill and a slight bender...i would advise..work on one shot/leave and try to master  it. BTW...well done Icon...good info..surely it'll help the guys around that cut line a whole bunch

On 15 at Oakmont, after bouncing past the hole more times than I care to remember I found a good tactic which is to aim long.  If your ball lands just past the hole it stops pretty quick on the steep up-slope, whereas if it lands short it's on a downslope and bounces past.
