    DaveStrock:

Regardless of any wind and direction, use full backspin off the tee and you should always clear that tree,I haven't hit that tree since I learned to use fbs  any wind or direction from the back tees...

This is just a low headwind....   Full B/Spin...  Full shot....  if cross winds going to the East then click before the ding and move Aim more Right.

With the R1....  Make sure you don't aim over the highest point of tree (red arrow), not sure but it might hit it.

Depends on the ball Roger. Max ball does not spin as much, therefore does not go as high with full backspin.

Max ball will hit the tree with tailwind if not careful.

Nike ball on the other hand will clear tree without any problems in any condition.

Nike ball with full backspin flies a lot higher than Max or any other low spin ball.

That sounds correct...   my drive just clears the tree where I aimed it.... If I aim over the highest point of that tree,  it will hit for sure.

The R1 with the level 35+ Cally distance ball will hit the tree if you are not careful as well. The last time I did hit it though I got lucky. The ball ended up on one of the shorter tees and I hit my R1 off the tee again getting so close that a 64 degree punched wedge got me within a foot to save par. That was the first par save for me after hitting that tree.

    FWIW, the Earth isn't round.

It's oblate. Earth 's circumference at the equator is longer than the Earth's circumference measure around the poles.

The Max's have the same specs as the Call's, apart from meter speed (lately thay have the same speed...lol) and the life of the ball.

I havn't hit the tree once, but there will be always a 1st time.... Full b/spin off the tee and make sure you don't aim over the highest point of that tree.....   the arrow on my pic i posted previously.

I had a 10mph cross wind from left to right earlier...  I aimed just a little right of the place in pic... and also clicked a fraction b4 ding....  again full b/spin... landed on fairway.

Not even when you first played from legend tees?  That's pretty impressive.  I used to hit it regularly, as did most of our CC.  I've no idea whether WGT made it easier or we just all got better at playing but I haven't hit it for a very long time.  I've been in the rough to the right of the fairway after bad ding misses but I can't remember when I last had to search for my ball under the trees.

I clicked waaaay early on my Tee shot there yesterday and the ball went through the tree about an inch (on laptop screen) below the highest point of the tree.

I prefer to bend the ball around the tree with a slight draw. It's just more fun. :)
