    G'Day All.

Thinking to just get a new driver for now. Thinking the G20 L58 or RBZ L69. Precision over forgiveness or forgiveness over precision? Distance or trajectory?

    Interested to know your thoughts.

You might give the G20 a go, the meter is good and distance will get you to upper levels.  I used the G20's until I made Legend.

    Good luck,

Then get the G20 58+ driver , and try the Srixon 11+ ball . The G20 , is about the same meter speed as your Rapture , and the Srixon , will be a better ball . If you really want to have fun, then join a country club , and have a ball . My reply to you was not to disrespect you , but only to question . This game is just like anything else , that you put your hand too . If you want to get better , then you have to put your time in . Just like your career , you wouldnt be where you are , if you hadnt worked hard to get there .                                                                                                                                                                                                                        So if I were you , I would get the G20 . I loved it when I had it , and as you upgrade , you will find the irons , are just as good too . Hope this helps , and I wish you luck with your game . May you and your family have a happy holiday , and a wonderful new year. Happy Swinging :-) P.S. Get rid of the hybrid , and add a 3rd wedge , to spruce up your short game .

    Hey Lonnie.

Thanks for the info. Seems the G20 is the way to go. May go for the irons at a later date. Getting a lot recommendations on the third wedge. Right now my wedges play 65yrds - 85yrds then my 100yrd PW. I like the spacing, would I be looking at something around 50yrds? Additionally I like having the same club type for consistency and the ones I got are no longer for sale so it would mean three new clubs.

All the best to you for the holiday season.

They may be aiming to a +-100 yds wedge below a more elevated iron set. Typical spacings are 50-75-100 or 60-80-100, but stick with your favourites as long as they play well. What are the punch distances?

Swing speeds of all wedges are quite similar, so you may buy a single (better) 100 yds club when you need it. Better quality helps with good spin acceptance - you'd want to "throw darts" with it.

If you decide to upgrade your wedges , go with the Ping wedges . They play as good as the Satins , and they wont cost you an arm and leg . But before you make that move, upgrade your irons first , and then your wedges .Try to make all upgrades last for as long as possible . If you do it properly, you will make 2 , by the time you reach Legend . :-)

Update: Thanks to all for your advice. I decided to buy the L67 Callaway X Hot driver after being able to sample some clubs during the free rental period over Christmas. A great buy. I've dropped 3 strokes off my average and I'm enjoying playing again.

    Happy New Year.

Satins? They are no longer available. They were discontinued when WGT brought out the much more expensive slightly inferior in my opinion ATV's.
