I think we also have to bear in mind that most of the really famous courses, ones almost everybody has heard of, are probably in America. Or Scotland. Of course there will be wonderful courses hidden away that many of us don't know about but I think WGT wants to release courses that make people say WOW, that place is awesome!!
They probably aren't very interested in courses that make people respond with a puzzled Where?
I agree we could do with some courses outside the US and UK and it would be fantastic to see somewhere like Valderrama as a stroke play 18 hole course but maybe, just maybe, they don't want to play ball with WGT. Remember, WGT can't just turn up with a helicopter and a few cameras and do what the hell they want, the course owners have to agree as well.
To be quite honest I'd settle for a new strokeplay course from anywhere right now. As long as it's a proper WGT one and not a silly TrueGolf one I really don't care where it is.
I'm always sitting in front of my computer when I play it anyway.
