  I would like to play in other styles than american (US) style or links, who are the only 2 styles now in WGT

  As far as styles of courses, we have (stroke play):

  • Links (2, or 3 if you include Kiawah, which is a links-style course even if not strictly speaking on links)
  • Parkland (several)
  • Desert (Cabo)
  • Mountain (Whistler).

  As a hillbilly myself I like to think of mountain golf as a distinctive type, although this may be an isolated view. I love the elevation changes and the views. Wolf Creek would qualify as both desert and mountain.

  Going back to Palm Springs for just a moment, a very cool CTTH venture would be "Sunnyland", the former winter retreat of "T.V. Guide" Founder & U.S. Ambassador to the Court of St. James in the U.K.. It is on 400 acres in Rancho Mirage, CA at the NW corner of Frank Sinatra Dr. & Bob Hope Dr, and is a lavish Estate repleat with a wonderful, full 9-hole golf course...best of luck on that ain't never gonna happen pipe dream.

  But I repeat I don't want to fight about that, WGT is not a geopolitic area... My meaning saying that all the new courses where in America is that even Whistler and Cabo del Sol are american (in the meaning of US) style, and I would like to play in other styles than american (US) style or links, who are the only 2 styles now in WGT...   This is what you should have stated-and only stated-in your opening post!

   

  Now, other than the two True Golf courses, WGT is/was in the habit of using the US Open and British Open courses for roll out into the game.

  If you look at the course roadmap, you'll see the same thing...unless some policy change occurs at WGT, this is probably the most we will even see.

  I think we also have to bear in mind that most of the really famous courses, ones almost everybody has heard of, are probably in America.   Or Scotland.   Of course there will be wonderful courses hidden away that many of us don't know about but I think WGT wants to release courses that make people say WOW, that place is awesome!!  

  They probably aren't very interested in courses that make people respond with a puzzled Where?

  I agree we could do with some courses outside the US and UK and it would be fantastic to see somewhere like Valderrama as a stroke play 18 hole course but maybe, just maybe, they don't want to play ball with WGT.   Remember, WGT can't just turn up with a helicopter and a few cameras and do what the hell they want, the course owners have to agree as well.

  To be quite honest I'd settle for a new strokeplay course from anywhere right now.  As long as it's a proper WGT one and not a silly TrueGolf one I really don't care where it is. 

  I'm always sitting in front of my computer when I play it anyway.
