It has been mentioned once or twice, Bandon Dunes will be 18 par 3's, a selection of par 3's from BD resort. Some were picked by wgt players voting for them.
If WGT call it a major, that's up to them. It bears no resemblance to RL majors.

I don't see any reason for complaint at all, Pinehurst and BD, good stuff, bring it on.
I'm looking forward to Pinehurst #2, but probably won't play Bandon Dunes very often once it becomes available.
The one I'm really looking forward to is Pebble Beach Golf Links for 18 hole stroke play, which we should get sometime after the Bandon Dunes 18 holes and before Chambers Bay (2015 US Open) in May of next year.
When are we getting Pinehurst #2?
The middle of next month - if WGT is on schedule.
I fear they have had to reassign a portion of their programming resources to address all the issues their last poorly prepared update added.
