  OK, now I'm starting to wonder if it's my irons.. I have the Ping Master G10 set, and if I'm hitting anything more than a 6-iron to the 9th green, the ball NEVER holds the green, even with full backspin, etc.  I use the Tour GI-S balls also.  I've always thought I played this game pretty well tee-to-green (like probably a lot of us, it's putting that's caused me to have bad rounds), so I'm surprised at the number of people who don't have the same struggles I have.  9 is the most obvious example, but when I'm hitting a long iron to most of the uphill greens on BP, I'm lucky to keep the ball on the green the vast majority of the time.

  As SweetiePie wrote, I also tend to hit the bunker on 9, or just through the green.  It's a very doable up-and-down, but it'd be nice to get a ball on the green in 2 once in awile!  As for the 525 yard par 4...

  I have the same clubs and balls.

  I have found that if you play a little right center off the tee, the ball will hit more firmly and give you 10 extra yards.  Still if I hit the green 50% of the time I'm pretty happy.  It isn't hard to make par from the trap but this is just one of the holes on BPB that play uphill and are very difficult for me to judge.  The 525 yard par 4 is just a hole that you have to hit a perfect drive on and if the pin is on the left back you can get it close once in a while, if it is right front behind the bunker, 25 feet is a good shot.

  about 50%, but usually a poor click is the reason I miss the most.  I have been succesful pretending the pin is always on the left and trying to be just right of that spot.  I have also challenged the wind sometimes not adding a club to get that extra loft, which usually means a softer landing.  Actually had about 9ft for birdie on the right pin the other day.  Also with a really nice downwind you can carry the left edge of the fairway bunker and have yourself a 9 iron into the green.

  Against the wind.....it's a lay up. With the wind, good possibility getting on in regulation. The bunker shot is pretty straight up.

  Ninth is a hard green to hit for sure, but the fifth is even harder, if the pin is to the left.  I'd say it's harder to stay on the green even when the pin is on the right.

  So true the 5th is by far harder to hold than the 9th. You can at times hit short of the 9th and roll on but it is almost impossible to play the 5th that way.

  Just birdied it in BPB Front 9 RG - drive, 4 iron to 24ft past the pin, 6" break from the left - straight in! First time I've ever birdied it though :) Only time I've held the 5th was, as I recall, when the ball landed in the rough short and skipped out onto the green. Normally I land on the green and run through to the rough. Pretty straightforward flop though and usually a par.

  I played BPB 3 times this morning at hit it 2 out of the three times. I didn't make the birdie putts but made 3 pars. First par this morning though was a pitch in after a very poor first pitch out of the heavy stuff just short of the bunker.
