Anyone hit the 9th green on BP? Ever?

  Been playing for 7-8 months and I'm at the tour master level.. bought the good clubs before 'the change'.  I don't think I've EVER hit the 9th green on BP in regulation.  My driver goes 275, and I've hit many what I think are good irons to the green, but they either come up short or hit the green and go over.  I'd love to know the percentage of times someone is putting for birdie on this hole.  I'll bet it's almost none.

  Probably about 50% for me, but it's usually a 25-35 ft putt.

  #9 is pretty easy to par, but birdies are sorta rare.  Should be a little easier for masters than it is for legends, though.

  I manage about 5%. I feel you generally have to overhit it a little with plent if backspin.

  actually...its the same distance, at least it was when i played a legend in matchplay the other day....on asking the legend how many holes are the same length? he told me he wasnt sure....but half of the holes were shorter for him..... i chuckled and went on my way, 1down!

  Not that bad to get on #9, better for birdies when on the left obviously. Off the green on the right is actually a good spot. A short pitch is sometimes better than a long putt you have to remember.

  As for the shorter holes, umm...

  #1 & 15, am I missing some? Really not that great of an advantage, considering the par 3s are way tougher.

  There are holes that are the same... #3,6,7,9 think that's it.

  The rest are considerably tougher/longer, I would have a hard time feeling sorry for a Tour Master and below honestly.

  Pretty sure the tee boxes on 15 have been switched, and the legend tee is now the longest tee.  I could be wrong, but I do think I saw the legend tee being the longest on the Hole Info screen, and I seem to be hitting, within the past few days, 160-185 into the green as opposed to 145-160.

  If you think the legend tees are easier or the same difficulty, nick, you should cherry-pick your rounds in order to enter the legend tier.  Let us know what you think when you get here.  :)

  maybe he said some and not half...thanx for the clarification. I`ve played from the champ tees and its bloody hard...that why I shall be sandbagging not cherry picking....lol but seriously i don`t think i could cherry pick my way to legend anyway(not with my 3 wood)....id never get any level points. also im sure the weekly tour master tournies are played from the black tees....so i have a little experience! (st andys tournie that is)

  You will have much more success if you play for the GREEN - instead of the PIN.

  About 50% GIR for me on BPB 9.

  Some holes simply play to a PAR and do not lend themsleves to an easy Birdie.  This is one of them.

  At BPB#9, I used to hit the ball on purpose into the right green bunker. It left me with the same sand shot over & over again, which was simple to master to the point of always making par with option for a hole out birdie.
