even tho wgt has added Bandon Dunes im sure alot of us would rather have seen new PINS on Olympic and Pinehurst instead of a par 3 course ...just a thought

    +1

I have not even played the new par three course, probably never will, so would have preferred new pins.

you should. it's the only course I been playing... so much fun:)

Adding new pins on every course would be great ,,it would be almost as good as a new course ( almost )

its gets old playing the same pins over & over , every course ive ever seen in real life has at least 6 different pin locations on them !!!!

and in the skins games all we ever get is 1 pin location , some courses you never get the other pin locations .( IMO ) the host should be able to set all conditions for the round !!!!!

P.S. im with you probably will never play Bandon Dunes , I hated par 3 courses in real life & hate them in any golf game ive ever played too ,,18 holes of par 3's is a waste of time !!

I think that WGT would be well served to have 3 sets of pins on each of the courses that they shoot, new pins make some holes play totally different.

Also I know that many of the courses have 2 sets of pins, Kiawah, STA, Congressional, Merion, BPB, etc.     However it seems to me that some pins are rarely seen and others on specific courses seem to alternate.   For example at STA, it seems that you see both sets of pins pretty often, except on a few holes.....#11 and #18 for example.  I know there is a back pin on 18 and a front pin on 11 but I haven't seen it in over a year.    BPB for example has a back pin on 15 that is rarely seen and a back pin on 8 that I rarely see.

What is the theory of pins and how is it determined how often and when they appear.

The back pin @ STA #18 is exclusively used in one CTTH, an extremely long shot from the left.

Also, IIRC, there's no camera behind the green.

And also @ BPB the front pin on # 18 that I have only seen 1 time in the last few months. When I first joined I got the front pin on # 18 about 90% of the time.

I remember one of the first chats with Mister WGT when he said that WGT  has a contract with R&A to run the Open just not a contact with all the courses. So if that contract is still valid we could get  The Open this year and hopefully new pins for it.
