    dciman:

    does it change with every meter for different length putts?

    No. All it does it provide hash marks that you can customize in the .ini file that comes with it.  The overlay is a 32kb file and the .ini file is 1.08kb and opens in notepad. There is nothing to install. There are no calculations performed, there's no recommendations, no nothing.

    I would like to reiterate what I said earlier. There is nothing sneaky or cheatful about this. If there is then all of you that have little pieces of tape on your monitor or transparent overlays or whatever are, well.......

    I am e-mailing WGT the file along with a link to this thread. I don't expect them to do anything, it's just for their info (which I'm sure they are already aware of.) I am not promoting it-just testifying. I do think it's useful for new players and those struggling to "guesstimate" how hard to swing.

    I would like an official response to know whether I can use it, as it for sure would be very helpful, especially with the new TM putter that has a big hole in the avatar movements.

    Thanks YJ for the added info and bringing it more to light.

    The only problem I can see is it could be possibly maniupated in the future to actual intereact with the meter.  From a software perspective its probably possible, though I'm not sure on the actual particulars of the software in question, it would probably have to be re-written entirely thus making it all new so maybe infact the current piece does NOT have the capabilty, not sure, programming was never my strength.

    At any rate I did see the same testament that you made before, that essentially it is just a piece of tape over the meter.  I fear because it is software and not official WGT may not like the idea but you never know, we can hope.

    resozv:

    Meter speed = A+: nice for me, i was usually late swing with Anser

    Distances = B: 60' & 90' are about same distances per move (12')

    Price = C- Never am impressed with price for slow meter clubs.

     VEM = D+ the meter doesn't close up to improve 'accuracy' like Anser does.

    It does close up if you hold it long enough. Slower meter means slower closing time as well.
