I can sort of understand why some players want ambient noises....to simulate the wildlife on a real course, but commentary? But then again, I have not seen any wildlife at all.....but they can be heard but never seen....what are the chances of that? I am utterly disappointed to have never seen a gator at Kiawah - imagine how much joy that would give the IQ challenged programmers in implementing that........
No player actually hears a commentary in real golf, no-one......they hear the gallery's or fellow players (just as well...the game might have an expletive too many) comments.......but on WGT there are is no gallery. So is this the golf god in the sky commentating? And a garden spot???? What are they smoking?
It is not the invisible gallery - the ball never hits someone and bounces out....instead it just rolls and rolls till the OB notification pops up.
As most of the courses are in the US.....you would hear the gallery shout out ...."in the hole" when teeing off on a par 5...................which as we know, is highly unlikely unless you have magical powers using a 7i from the tee.
As you can see, I am confused....we see the game and shots as the player (albeit we run fooken quickly to get behind the green on an approach shot).....but who is calling this nonsense?
No wonder I have my sound off.....
