Now we're on the green, maybe we approached the hole from the front side. Less than 3 feet left, the slope arrow at the aiming target says downhill.

What a surprise to leave the putt way short - it must be at least 2" uphill from my experience!

    Wonder why this ain't indicated?!?

(this misindication issue is known from other greens, too, where a long downhill putt may leave a "downhill" putt back from the opposite side, but this seems the most severe of these errors)

If memory serves, that should be down hill, breaking to the right?

It's downhill from the center/back of the green to the front pin, breaking right.

Therefore, if you pass the pin, it's obvious that it should be uphill. And it really is severely uphill, without proper indication once you are inside 3 or 4 feet.

I think you have me confused:)

If pass the pin (in front hole location) it's a downhill putt from either side of the hole.

Could you take a screenshot?  I'll try to as well.

    Edit:

From 4.7 feet right of the pin, and about 2 feet above it, it's 2 inches downhill

From 5.9 feet to the left and 2 foot high, it's 1inch down hill.

No matter where u r - if u r above the hole and pass (miss) it long, you must be below.

Look at the backputt from 3 ft inwards, especially with the back to the big bunker...

I sent me some replays from practicing that hole but they show a random picture, not my shots.

I guess I may just be misunderstanding, but I just went back there again, and here is what I found:

(All putts from directly above the hole, as in missing too long)

27 feet beyond the hole putt is 9inches downhill

16 feet beyond putt is 5 inches downhill

9.9 feet putt is 4 inches downhill

5.7 feet putt is 2 inches downhill

3.1 feet putt is 2 inches down hill

By chance are you playing this "one hole at a time"?

If so and coming up short, it may be due to the "Standard" speed greens?

    Ahhh Grasshopper, you are mistaken.

it can be downhill from both sides of the hole.

\./  Next time drag the aiming triange over the hole and watch the elevation.

Lucky for you, I don't understand any pun or belittlement which might be hidden behind "Grasshopper".

Alas, it's a matter of fact and not of blindfolded "can be" estimations.

Have you been there and looked at it? I guess not.

The facts are as I told you. Putts from the fairway side of the front hole are uphill (e.g. 2" from 7'), and if you are close enough the indication will be "arrow down" like at quite a few other holes.

For you and all other disbelievers I have compiled some pictures of glitches in the slope indication (copy to a browser window and click the green button):

Let me remark that these are not limited to BPB, alas #13 (page 3 of the pdf) is one of the most severe cases.

I guess a lot of American television shows don't ever make it to Europe. The reference is from the TV show "Kung FuMaster Po calls his young student "Grasshopper" in reference to a scene in the pilot episode.

So you have not more to say than to admit your belittlement - not a word concerning the subject :(
