Your point is well taken but isn't the opposite true as well? When playing Best of Hardest Holes a player usually scores higher than when playing Kiawah or St. Andrew's.

Further, CC Tournaments can be created with low wind, easy greens and on easy 9s. I must admit that I doubt I would have become a Legend if not for those kind of "soft" CC Tournaments.

Here are 2 par 4s that I would like to see on Best of Easiest Holes:

#1 @ Kiawah & #9 @ St. Andrews.

Nice thoughts - let's combine them:

24 easiest holes in a good mix of Par 4's and Par 5's as a new "best of" course, each hole with a special rating as a Par 3. The whole course will then be Par 72, an apt challenge for our average :P

Lets combine your thought process?

No I'm not condescending, I just wanted to be creative. I'm sorry if you felt offended, from your smiley I (wrongly?) understood this as a lighthearted discussion.

"Best of Par 3" has been proposed here for a long time to no avail, "best of easiest" seems difficult to implement because of the possible effects to the avgs. Taking the easiest holes and rating them more difficult might be a possible compromise.

My 2 €-Cents, not more.

No not mad at all here. I need the easiest of easiest low wind easy tees par 3's and Ill bet I will still shoot a 70 :)
