Yeah, -4 after 4 holes. I hate when that happens.

Thanks for the tip mark, punching at #5 when i was -4 got me a birdie, i managed -8 for front #9, back 9 i pressed early on #10 and landed in deep rough and thought here we go, anyway, 11 onwards i birdied every hole until the long par #5, and got a meter pause which sent me in rough so i only parred that too.  Any way, managed my 55 to qualify (even though my 57 previously was probably safe), but feel i lost a couple of birdies to get me even at top of leaderboard and maybe the $500.LOL.  Anyway. JOB DONE for me.

I always found when I come up to a tree,

stepping to one side or the other

    prevents hitting them

Thank Heavens. I almost thought WGT was making it unfair just for you. Congratulations in beating them at their own game.

Can we all get back to OUR feeble efforts now, now that we don't have to sit on the edge of our seats waiting for the next installment in this continuing drama? :-/

I'm not going to search for it because I'm lazy. But there was a post by Mr. Bones after the R11 clubs came out that he would never whine about mishit shots or WGT or something to that effect.

I guess I must of dreamed he made that comment. I had to of. There's no other explanation for it. No way would he go back on his word. I mean come on he's only complained 976 times since that comment.

I beg of you Mr. Bones, please never change. Your post always bring a smile to my face on otherwise crappy days.

Perhaps you should read Joyce Kilmer.

Hole #5 Olympic - aim using the camera looking back  to the tee and use top spin to keep shot low. You need to avoid both the tree with the hanging branches and the tree further down the fairway on the right.

Also note, if you hit the trunk of the first tree, the ball goes out of bounds (lost ball)

Hole #1 Olympic - you can hit the tree off the drive, but it is the tree behind the one you can see.

Hole #16 - you can lose a ball in the weeds if your drive goes anyway left of the grey tree.

I know cos I've done all of the above

Congrats on 55 Chris!!!  I think I am safe with a 56 too.  Oh, and BTW.....I hit the tree on #5 in that 56 round.  Its a nasty one.
