Then that member should have been man enough or woman enough to let you know before making the switch. All you can do now is move on make your club a huge success and that person may regret the switch later.

    Good Luck Voy.

My thoughts exactly Pjctas, thanks for your comforting words and mature comments.

    hi barry,

sry to hear of your dilemma.there is no real solution in any CC. i am in my second club now, and ran the tourneys in the first one as I have now, but the exception is ownership is transferred to me as of last week.and you cannot always get members to play consistantly..that is the problem

My club is called; Only the Redeemed. totally Christian membership with no fake people. take a preview at the club roster if you would like and our display page.Be glad to have you in if you feel this would be for you

Dear Barry, jealousy will always be part of mankind. Fortunately,  majority of people either hide it well or are immune to it. Hope you have a good club now!!

    See you around!

So if I get this right,a member left your CC and joined another1 the same day and this is robbery.I am pretty sure no one put a 9 iron to his head and forced him to hit the button, the choice is entirely his/hers. I am curious though  as looking at your CC I see you have 83 members but you only have 10 friends,so is owning a CC more of a status symbol for you the it is a place to meet, chat, and play with with your members as you do not have the option of knowing who is on line and available to play for 87/88% of your CC,S membership

    My Perspective

    Dear 100plus,

A lesson in some attentive reading will show question marks both in the title and in the text where robbed/robbery was outed. Your 'the same day' was defined in my text as 'seconds after', where I spotted immediately after the member had left that he had joined the new club. No iron to his head perhaps but he befriended the owner on the same day, just before he joined the new one. Confidence is high that my former member was indeed influenced to leave my CC.

Do you actually spend a lot of time reading here on the forum? Yes? Good, then you would know that having multiple friends listed WILL hamper your connection and smooth play on WGT (multiple articles and comments handle that subject here on WGT). Since I possess but a reasonable good and fast connection, yet not the fastest and not the best connection available, I was forced about a year ago to diminish my 100plus friends capacity to a maximum of around 10. Think, before you act with such remarks about my friends list please.

And for your information, my pride and status is mostly within my sincerity, respect and humour, not in statistics or credits. All of my members were carefully selected out of 50 to 150 profiles I check about daily, so I am going for quality there, not quantity and most of my chatting is done during match play and in the Club's forum. All members know my name and can spot my availability online so thus they are always able to ask me about a match, which frequently happens!

Sincere and respectful comments are welcomed.

    Regards,

    VOY

I only send CC invites to people who have posted on the forums, when they express interest in joining a CC, or if I see a player that is not currently a member of a CC.  Of course, I will accept all requests to join the CC, if the player's profile indicates they play enough, and could be a valuable contribution to the CC.  Here I will also see if they are currently in a CC as well.  I started doing the last bit after a player joined our CC, and was promptly warned about his behaviour by his previous CC's owner.

I do not intentionally poach players away from a CC, that is not how we at VP&G do things.  Of course, WGT Baseball is something entirely different, when it comes to poaching players! ;)

I have asked CC members who want to quit, to at least have the decency to let me know if they are quitting, and the reason.

    Dear MSVB,

A very valuable comment from you with exemplary remarks. Your last sentence is a real good one, had me thinking and I will add something similar to my Club's guidelines, thank you!!!

I had announced in the CC forum for new players, we have an age limit (you must be over 50). A fellow responded to the invite & when I looked at his profile page he was already in a CC. Here is where it gets iffy, he had been a member of the CC since Jan. 2011, so to me he wanted what our CC offered a smaller club with members his own age. As it turns out I was right. I asked him to quit his CC and then I would send him an invite, which he did & I then sent him the invite. I hope what I did is not taken as "robbery" because IMO all CC owners big or small have a moral obligation to operate their CC as honestly as they possibly can. IMHO

my 2 cents for what it's worth
