Bethpage #14

  Again, this may be old news since everyone has figured out BPB by now... and is focusing on the new courses.

  But the yardage on #14 is jacked up or something is off.  The distances of clubs, effect of wind and elevation seems incongruent with the rest of the course.

  Here is the latest example.  Its the lower pin placement... I don't remember the exact yardage... But I think it was something like 159 6 feet down, and 8 mph R to L tailwind.

  I hit a full 150 yard G10 7i using the Nike 20XI-X balls.  I dinged it.  It went 147 yards.

  Like I said, other shots have not been adding up on this hole.  But the above example is the most obvious example I have.

  Others have noticed this?

  That hole is just one of a few on BPB that don't play to the stated yardage. best to keep that in mind when playing that particular course. CCC also has a couple of holes that the yardages are not quite right, #4 comes to mind, if you don't add 4-5yds you hit that nasty tree overhanging the front bunker..

  I think it is about 3-5yds longer just like #1 and #12 i use the R11's and still need to add yards to those holes. The original G10's were notorious for particular clubs not hitting to their stated yardages (from memory 6i and 7i i think). I know it doesn't help but it is best to keep notes on those holes and clubs that don't produce the expected results and compensate. Having said that, #14 still catches me out lol, hard to overhit on that particular hole due to very steep slope in back of green. Sometimes it helps to half the bs.

  We have found out:

  The "official" / scorecard yardage of straight holes in WGT is / may be (frequently?) measured to one of the active pins. Whenever the other pin is in force, the distance shown off the tee (top right corner) will not show the correct pin distance.

  The correct pin distance should be shown then at the blue dot in the overview right & down (mouseover).
