Remapping Kiawah's greens

  A question to the guys at WGT; with the upcoming new pins at Kiawah, have you revisited the course to go through a second photo shoot on the greens? If so, will you remap the entire green so that the old pins will have truer running grid lines?

  I think most players who've been here long enough know that there are a number of false putts with the current pin set. If there's ever an opportunity to clean these up, it'd be really appreciated (particularly the left side of the pin on Kia 2 ;) ).

  One final question; will we ever get 3-4 full sets of pins at any of the courses? This IMO would make a tremendous difference in changing the face of the game we play.

  You can try and combat the false breaks by looking through chip view, but one thing that definitely need sorting is the diagonal putting angle you get when on reverse view, these are nearly impossible to read correctly and always end up causing your birdie putt to miss.

  I don't know if they went there but if they did, I think it was pretty brief. Remapping the greens takes several month, so I am not sure if we can do it or have enough data for new maps.

  I suspect though, if they could, it would be done with the new pins.

  It seems strange to me that WGT would put new pins on Kiawah without first attending to the mapping of the greens...why would we or WGT be interested in doubling the current problem by having 2 sets of pins on inappropriately mapped greens...I, personally, would like their time spent on additional pins on courses which have well mapped greens...HB3
