Very well said Gode! Geez you are too good at this.

Indeed big applause for Lou for organizing this competition. Big applause also for all the players (Deviations and All stars) for the great sportsmanship they all showed. Nice to see such a great competition running smoothly.

    Regards

Just finished match with Jeff, really glad these are 18 holes matches and not 9.  Was well beaten on the front. Jeff made nice birds on 1,3,5,6,7,8 to jump out to a 3 up lead thru 8 then one of the turning points came on 9 where I had a 15 foot bender and Jeff about 6 feet. Was able to sink mine and Jeff got a deviation on his allowing me too make the turn only 2 down. From there I got going and birdied all on the back except a missed 4 footer on #12. Jeff had a couple more putts that were unlucky to miss including one on #13 that lied to him.

In the end Came thru with a 2 & 1 Win for the Stars. Nice playing with Jeff a really good guy, and thanks for filling in on short notice. Hope to play again sometime.

    Buck wins 2 & 1

Great game, cant let a player like buck climb his way back in, and I did just that, missing a couple putts.  Great game, and a pleasure to meet and play a round with you.

    Sorry Devs!

    Cheers,

And it's on to Oakmont for the final round --- good luck to the Dev players .. (not so much the all stars) .. :) ......

By the way .. Godel is right ... I take all the credit ... (NOT) .......

All I did was plant a seed.   I'm happy my club mates stepped up.  I think this made for a great competition ........ which is not close to over.     My hat's off to all of the players on both teams and the rest of the WGT community for playing / supporting the site.

By the way ------- how cool is it to watch the PGA  championship on TV ... on the Kiawah Ocean Course .... even better than the Olympic, CCC, St A, RSG, BP, etc. if you ask me.

    CHALLENGE UPDATE !!!!!

As some of the players are now achieving Tour Legend status .... I just want to state what the rules will be.

We will still be playing ranked rounds.   As we know the Tour Legend course criteria will be the set up.    The only change is Tour Legends will be playing on Championship Greens instead of Tournament Greens - there is no length advantage.

So .. since we are all big boys and girls ... we'll just play the conditions given ... if you are a Legend and have to play on Tour Legend greens ... so be it.    Given the quality of these players and the fact that no one has been a Tour Legend long enough to have any advantage I think we will be OK.

    Good Luck again :)

,This will be an advantage,,Huge to the Tour Legend!!  i havent played on Champ greens for ages ,,Why should we accomodate out TL,,Play the round in practice mode on Tourney greens Lou,,I have no idea if Sam is a tour legend but my point is that if so he will have huge advantage on them greens! I wouldn;t even entertain that situation,And i am sure Sam would play me on Tourney greens to be fair anyway,I know its the same for both sides but to be fair on us poor Legends the game should be played in practice mode Tourney greens!!,,These games will be tight and if Tour legend has just 1 shot advantage over a Legend because of the Champ greens then that isn't right!

Tess -- I'm surprised .... here I was trying to give another advantage to the All Stars ... and your logic makes so much sense ... I'll be happy to take that advantage away :).       Dev's have 1 tour legend .. he made it yesterday and I doubt he will have that much time to practice on championship greens for it to make a difference.  I fully expect by the time folks will be playing their matches - the All Stars will have a lot more Tour Legends than Dev's.

But as I said .. your logic makes sense ... so I'll leave it up to the 2 players to decide what wind conditions, and pins to play --- but I would fully expect everyone to play on tournament level greens and from the back tees.     (Heck I didn't even know you could set up a practice round with Tournament level greens).

    How's that sound ?
