When will it start selecting the right wedge for approach shots? Whe it's 48 yrds to the hole I don't need my 98 yrd wedge, I need my 50 yrd wedge! Sometimes i don't catch it and it really screws my shot up. I'm gonna fire the caddie.

It happens to everyone, just did in on a ready go, cost me a double bogey as I went in the fescue at the  back of the green.   Got to try to make it habit to check before every shot.

    Cheers

There's nothing worse than going for that easy 6 foot birdie putt, just to discover I didn't change the 15 foot putting scale to 30. GRRR!

If we own the clubs, shouldn't we be able to set our own defaults on our clubs?

Wow... if you don't check your club before each shot, along with the wind, yardage, lie, line and pin placement, then it's not WGT's problem...

    It's a 'you-problem'.

This is the one complaint that I think is completely and totally B-S.

When you're on the real golf course, those of you who actually PLAY golf, do you just blindly reach into your bag and play whatever you grab first?

    Didn't think so.

Snaike are you serious this is a caddy feature and should select the correct club.To put it another way if you were a pro golfer with a real caddy you would sack them on the spot for an incorrect yardage. This is why they have the caddy snaike just like pro golf.

So i think so snaike, there are other points of view to yours, not that you would ever think outside your little glass house.

As for reality i do agree it would be foolish to grab said (1st  Club)but this game has a caddy and when this is the case it should be correct.

BTW  WGT acknowledged a problem so your comment is pure dribble.

Easy big fella.  Back up a second.

What I am saying is that I check EVERY club on EVERY shot.  I don't care if it's an electronic caddy, a course caddy, or Mother Teresa...  When I have a shot to make, either here or on a real course, ~I~ have to make the shot.. not the caddy.  I make the shot, I choose the club, I choose the shape, I choose the power, I choose the target, I choose the speed, I choose.

We're talking about club selection, not yardages.  Last I checked the yardage feature was not the topic of this thread.

The final responsibility, fault, blame, congratulations, accolades, whatever comes to ME... not the caddy.

I don't care if WGT admits to having a faulty club selection bug.... If I hit the wrong club, the problem is with the player, every single time.

If you want to blame the caddy CSC, electronic or otherwise, that's your choice.

I choose to take responsibility.  You can choose for yourself.  As you say, there are other points of view here.

... let me try to help out with some specifics, CSC...

This is not about yardage.  You're right, if I had a caddy who couldn't read a yardage book then yes, he's gone.  But this is about club selection.  The yardages to the holes have always been displayed properly here.

So, you're allowed your POV, and I'm not?  Interesting.

No, the caddy you hire on an upscale club course does not know your yardages for your 5-iron... so he's not going to automatically hand you the right club.  Sorry.  The pro's have caddies they have worked with for years and are expected to know their pro's every shot.  That's why they get a salary and a % of the winnings (5% of the purse, 7% for a top 10 finish, 10% for a win.)

WGT acknowledged a problem with the club selection, not the yardages.  Again, if you're not checking before you swing, it's a you-problem.

Sorry for the double post all, but this needed to be addressed.

And CSC... I'm not mad at you, I still think you're alright.  =)  Let's go play 18 and you can give me a lesson... (I still suck at this.)

Dude in this game club selection and yardage are one and the same.Change club and guess what the yardage changes. So there for as the original poster said if your shot is 48yards why does the caddy select a 98 yard club when he has a 50yard club in his bag.

If we need to check it all the time why have it in the first place, this is my argument.

I have no problem with it i just agree with the original poster.

I dont care if you are snaike im my own man and if i upset people good,if what you say is correct why have a caddy in the first place.
