There's nothing worse than going for that easy 6 foot birdie putt, just to discover I didn't change the 15 foot putting scale to 30. GRRR!

It just happened to me yesterday and for that exact reason, I ended up zigzagging the green at SA #17. But I agree, that was my fault and I was supposed to double-check.

Sometimes I'm anxious to take the next shot and I don't pay attention to stupid details like the lie mismatch (when it's 'graphically' on the fairway but the lie reads 'rough') or the green speed that has changed.

Also, since I've upgraded my wedges, my caddy seems to have a preference for those no matter what's the distance. For example, when I'm 70 YDs away, he/it hands me the 105YDs one. I still prefer using my Starter PW at full force instead of shooting at 67% with the proposed one. (too approximate)

If we own the clubs, shouldn't we be able to set our own defaults on our clubs?

How do you change the scale on the putter? When i`m on the fringe,or green it gives me 25, 50, 100,  or 150 feet. I didnt know you could change the scale,or footage on the putter. How do you change it?

Never mind :) took me 2 secs to figure it out. Huh never knew this lol Been playing for over a year now, wonder how many other things I don`t know about  Hmmmmm

Wow.. you've been here ~that~ long, made Master, carry a 64 and never knew that you could change the scale of the putter.

I am, seriously, impressed.  I change the scale on almost 75% of my putts.  I couldn't imagine playing the game with the caddy choice everytime.

A tip o' the cap to you, sir.

Or how about you can switch your clubs if you have a mouse wheel? Or maybe switch to putting view from the fairway to see the landscape? All sorts of stuff........

The first thing I do when sizing up a shot is check to see what club my caddy gives me.  I do the same thing for putting too.

The default club given has always been poor in this game since the beginning (especially for fringe putts).

It would be nice if the "caddy" feature somehow could remember what club you hit for specific yardages, and then just gave that club to you when faced with similar yardage shots.   The same would apply to shots types off the green.   I never chip, always use pitch shots, and it'd be nice if the game remembered that and defaulted to the pitch shot around the greens.

The scale offered for the fringe is WAY OFF for me too! The fringe does slow down the ball a bit though, but not to that extent.

A good tip that works for me at least is that I treat shots from the fringe like they are played on a green with 1 level slower than the usual speed. Example: as a pro, I have FAST greens, so I treat them as NORMAL. When I'll be master, I'll treat them as FAST instead of VERY FAST, etc. It's not a perfect rule of thumb but it works

Excellent point! The caddy should remember every shots on any given hole if it went well the last time with an option like REMEMBER LAST CLUB SELECTION AND PARAMETERS that we can click when we are satisfied. WGT, this could be a suggestion!

I  always got mad, like on the 11th hole at Bethpage when I came up 22 feet short of the pin and had a 16 inch upgrade. My caddie would always give me 25 feet to use. Shot at full 25 feet and always came up 5 ft short lol. I was going to tell WGT that there was a bug on that hole and some other holes too. Now that I look, how the hell did I not see those big arrows for the range of the putter. They glare out at me like a big yellow bus now. LOL

I generally find myself clubbing down one from what my caddy pulls out, but apart from that it's generally good, EXCEPT:

When i'm putting on the fringe less than 10 yards out, i don't want the 150ft putting increment to come out.  I hit the ball way past because of this (was only 6 yards out too).
