For something different, would WGT consider setting up Best of the par 5's and Best of the par3's courses ?

This should offer more variety, at a minimum cost to WGT.

    Just an idea.....

I think if WGT combined the 2 of having a course with both par 3's and par 5's alternate holes then there wouldn't be an issue of the par for the course going away from the standard par 72. This way it wouldn't matter about it effecting the average.

If you had a course with all par 3's then the par would be 54 and if those holes were all birdied then we'd see a round of 36 and this would massively effect the players average. Likewise if we have a course of all par 5's then then the par for the course would be 90 and this would have an effect on averages in the other direction.

Or compromise. All 5s and 3s.

Not sure if we have 9 par fives on the site.

It would be great to have the 9 and 9 setup or even 8 and 10 for a par 70 if necessary.

    Oakmont - 2, Congressional - 3, Kiawah - 4, St Andys - 2, RSG - 2, Bethpage - 2, Olympic - 2.

17 total par 5 holes (not including Cabo and Whistler) and plenty of par 3 holes as well.

At this point, Oakmont seems to not have given permission for the course used in the "Best of" set-ups.  Not sure what Olympic will do.  That still leaves 13 to combine with the par 3s.  Cool idea.

I won't even tell you how my brain was working when I posted that    lol

For some reason I was thinking 9 holes...1 or 2 par 5 per course.  Thanks for correcting my brain fart.  I would like to see the 9 / 9 version or even a 8 / 10 as well if they wanted 2 of them.
