  In my opinion the level requirement for access to certain equipment is the senseless figure on ones profile.

  I personally would have no problem what so ever if a Legend...Regardless of his level, had the best equipment available to him. This is one of the strange idea's on this site that I do not really understand. Why must Player A (level 65 Legend) be handicapped equipment-wise over Player B (level 95 Legend) ? Same tee's but different equipment availability. Kind of not making sense to me. 

  It is an extremely simple fix...All equipment availability should be tier based. Full stop. Promotes the want to tier up in order to be able to use better equipment. Also, those who choose not to want to tier up do not put themselves in the firing line of frustrated higher tiered players who see their superior equipment being used on short tee's. They get to stay in a tier they like, but with minimal equipment availability being the short fall in that decision to not progress forward from one tier to the next. Tiering up = longer tee's yes, but also the availability of superior equipment. 

  YankeeJim put it very well in an earlier post. It will not fix an existing problem, as you cannot simply take equipment away from "controversial players" who already have high level gear...He bought it according to the existing rules, it is his. BUT it would be a step towards stamping out said problem for future players choosing to go the same route.

  P.S. Very refreshing to see these chats and be able to give feedback on decisions that you have highlighted that are in the pipe lines.

  My take is that they will incorporate the physics of hitting off sloped lies: uphill, downhill, side-slope (ball above or below feet).

  Uphill shots cause club-head lofts to increase, giving more lofted ball flight and shorter total distance, given the identical spin of a level ground shot. Downhill lies give the opposite effect.

  Side hill lies yield ball flights that leave the target line: ball above feet yields right to left flight; ball below feet gives a left to right curving flight.

  My assumption (prayer, actually! lol) is that they give us the tool(s) to deal with this. Ideally they let us move the spin dot ANYWHERE on the ball. This would simulate opening or closing the club-face to produce any shot in the spectrum: Hook, draw, straight, fade, slice. Effectively you're adding side-spin to the existing ability to add top- or back-spin.

  i don't know i they'll intro shot-shaping with the lie-update .. would be nice though ..

  i.e. if u have lie below ur feet, u'll have to aim a little more left than normal .. how much more ? that to me would be the M$ question ..

  i wanna know to what extent the ball flight might be affected with the intro of ball-lie .. a guide if u will .. i guess it'll mean a whole lotta practice rounds for everybody to figure this out in the absence of some form of WGT guidance ..

  but MRwgt said that will be addressed in more detail during the next Q&A session ? will this next session be before or after the update ??

  Perhaps this system should be graduated,

  1. Hacks        0%
  2. Amateurs 10%
  3. Pro             20%
  4. Tour Pro    40%
  5. Master       60%
  6. Tour Master  80%
  7. Legends+    100%

  What I mean by this is that the impact of the lie will be only 10% for the amateur as an example. 

  Thus, as you progress, the difficulty increases also.

   

   

  What an utterly ridiculous suggestion, the golf course as laid out is the same for everyone, why the hell should better players have to deal with more severe conditions than anyone else.

  I agree, it will just be giving more reason to sandbag!! LOL

  As for the so called sandbagging solution, now that was ridiculous! Keeping top equipment locked until a player reaches pro? Yippee, there are not that many hack and amateur sandbaggers anyway so this will do absolutely nothing to curb it.

  I must say, I found the "chat" a bit disappointing, there really wasn't much covered in that hour and most of what was, could have just be announced in the forum. I was under the impression that this was going to be more of a Q & A, but there were very few questions answered. With all due respect to Chad, 1 hour simply isn't enough and it seemed towards the end that he was just trying to get out of there. It really wouldn't have killed anyone to stay an extra 30 mins or hour to actually answer questions.

  Anyway, we'll see how the next 1 goes.

  No they won't. They'll need to log 100 ranked rounds before they go anywhere and that's after the change.
