    Kriztjan:

a 26 will not take my avg down, guess the only way is up now.

    It's odd...mine crept up to 58.9

Then shot a 28 and it did drop to 58.89.

Where before a 29 didn't move it in the first round of the day.

reminds me of a nifty tune from yesteryear.

    BOBTX61:
It's my "understanding".....that the TOUR MASTER (TM) tier was added by WGT last Fall.  NOW......here we go again.  WGT adds another NEW tier...TOUR LEGEND.  So, it's my GUESS....that a LOT of current LEGENDS never had to go through that TM tier on their way to reach LEGEND.

TM (and Legend) wasn't  added last fall, it was about 2 years ago, so the vast majority of Legends did (or should I say DID, lol) go through Master and TM.

The rules are: sub 60 average after 100 rounds played from today on. Common knowledge.

Existing CTTH courses can't be "opened up" for stroke play.

Just my opinion now, but if it's necessary WGT should create another new tier down the road. The level of skill among Legends is a great as the difference between Pros and Tour Masters.... everything from 54 average to 70 plus. The new tier is part of the evolution of the game.

Quick guess on the route to Tour Legend.

If you have 400 or more Legend ranked rounds:

WGT takes those 400 scores (your current score average) and will start adding in your next 100 ranked into your scoring average. Then your low 500 ranked rounds will be used for your scoring average to advance to Tour Legend, when your average is 60 or below at 500 or more ranked Legend rounds.

Now this is just a guess since I don't have enough data to really prove it, but that's what looks like could be happening after I played a ranked round.

Since I just broke 60 a few days ago (needing 1078 rounds), it is likely I'll need more than 100 ranked rounds to get back below 60. Again assuming low 500 ranked rounds will be used for the scoring average for Legends.

Could be awhile before we see a Tour Legend Ready Go....lol

The real question is:  Who will be the first to Tour Legend?!

    Gents, my theory is:

your current average belong to best 400 ranked rounds.

now those 400 best round are frozen. Example. 58av = (400x58)/400

and you will add 100 round to those frozen ranked rounds.

every new round will be added to that amoun, good or bad.

     - let say you made a new score of 58: Av = ((400x58)+58)/401 = 58 (nothing changes)

     - let say you made a new score of 57: Av = ((400x58)+57)/401 = 57.997 ~ 58

     - let say you made a new score of 52: Av = ((400x58)+57)/401 = 57.985 ~ 57.99

     - let say you made a new score of 63: Av = ((400x58)+57)/401 = 58.012 ~ 58.01

I have the scores and names of all the ranked round I made as legend, more than 1200, with all the stats, % averages, best 400 rounds... etc.

So up to now, my theory is correct. but I need to make some more rounds to double check. :)

Sounds like your theory agrees with mine. And my few more rounds continues to support it.

Prior to today (Aug.2, 2012) WGT only kept record of the best 400 ranked Legend rounds. Starting today WGT will keep track of the best 500 ranked Legend rounds. Therefore once your best 500 ranked Legend rounds averages 60 or less you will be upgraded to Tour Legend.

I will continue to monitor my scores to confirm jvr86's theory and sounds like jvr86 will do the same.

Anyone going to setup a pool on who will be the 1st Tour Legend?....lol

the only difference, I just confirmed, is that this new 100 round, will count no matter if good or bad round. Just made a 31 (62), a score that dont belong to my best 400, and average went up, as expected.

So best 400 before the update are frozen and from now onthe 100 next round are being counted, adding them to the 400 previous best rounds.

    Sumary:

Av. = best 400 before the update + 100 after the update = T. Legend
