Had some quite annoying experiences on the new holes, apart from the mislabelled green speed that cost me a couple of birdies. I had one shot into the rough, some 30 yards from the pin and 10-15 yards off the green. When making my shot, I say myself on the green, with a wedge, aiming for something in the bushes off green. Reverse cam gave me the right angle. Actually, I think it was almost the same view, but my avatar was not standing on the green no more.

Worse is putts that shows break but goes straight and that does not show break and they still break. I don't think that is acceptable.

But worse still is the diagonal putting grid you get ever so often. I find it almost impossible to read the greens when that happens. Specially if the camera is misaligned and aim towards the pin through your ass rather than through the ball line.

This does not bode well for upcoming releases of new courses. Olympia is pretty good I think, but Cabo and Whistler... seems like they have forgotten to extrapolate the data and some  greens are very edgy, like putting on carelessly distributed cardboard sheets. Sometimes there is wild breaks that is completely invisible since they appear in between grid lines.

I also havet he feeling that VEM is more active nowadays. I have had shots where I am late for the ding and still the balls crawls left, against the wind, and land left of my marker. Usually this has been to my advantage, but I do not want that kind of advantage. It also happens that dinged shots turns against the wind. I would prefer that "the Ding" would be a reliable reference. Until they give us more parameters to play with, "ding" is the best we can do in terms of the technical execution of the shot.

I'd like this game to become better, not just bigger.

.... for some players. The whole VEM thing seems cyclic to me. Couple of days will go by when perfectly executed shots fly nowhere near where they have in the past, then for a couple days, even the worst of shots will seek out the pin. I've gotta assume this is pretty much the same for everyone. While some players are in a rough stretch, others will be playing with the golden horseshoe. Though I would prefer consistency, the inherent inconsistency keeps the game interesting (though very irritating at times).

OK what I want to know is how WGT can say this is Realistic Golf. I just made the cut for the championship and when I look at the leader board first place is - 29 RD1-16 and RD2 -13. I also watched the real Championship and  Rory McIlroy posted rounds of 67 - 75 - 67 - 66 : 275 To Par: -13. The lowest round for the entire tourny was Seung-Yul Noh at 65 thats -7.  So how do players here score so low if this is realistic.  I congratulate those who do, but how?

nah matey..they are the "fast" tourney greens :)

Am I right in thinking that there is another set of pins?

Possibly get them in Round 3?

I think I have only had 2 different pin positions so far, and when creating a round you can select easy, medium and hard, and no matter what pins you choose only ever get a variation between 2.

no  2 pins per hole i think i think the only reason there is 3 options is for combination of pins...... but tbh iv played easy mod and hard on all available courses yet it seems to always be random

Add 10 strokes to offset the gaming advantage. Then it looks pretty close.

Kybra:  Yeah.... when Rory hit a shot, he had to make sure he kept his head down, his eyes on the target, elbow in, feet still, knees bent, good steady consistent swing pace, don't rise up too soon, hold your form and follow through.

I have to make sure I press down with a finger at the right time.

Come on WGT.... Really?!?!?!  Just finished the front 9 on round 2 and had one cross wind... on #5..... the rest were strong head winds between 5 and 7 oclock.   Talk about over before it even started.  WOW.
