How does warming up with a cheap ball prepare you to play with a Callaway?

Ya, really. The warmup I understand, you need to find out what kind of mood the game is in, but not using the same ball in the CTTH doesn't compute. You save a whole 9 shots on the ball!!

I need to find out what mood my finger is in, lol.

But if you use a cheaper ball with the same feel, then it's the same as if you use your usual playing ball (Srixons for me these days, not Callys).  I'm not warming up spin and distance, lol.  Nikes and the new slow Callys are the only balls that there's no cheaper ball with the same feel.

But, for me, it wouldn't matter much if it didn't have the same feel.  Warming up is just a matter of getting focused in, and getting my brain and finger to cooperate with each other.

Saving 9 shots is saving 9 shots, when you're on a budget.

I think I just view Entering and Teeing Off as 2 different things.

I've created hundreds of CC tourneys, and entered most of them right after to check my work.  There's no confirmation or way to edit or delete tourneys, so if I messed up, I wanted to let everyone in the CC know right away.  Certainly couldn't immediately play every tourney I created, lol.  (Only messed up and mislabeled one once, though!)

Plus the fact that you can't see the tourney conditions in the game client, until after you Enter.  Makes a difference on whether I want to make sure to play or not for the weekly and monthly WGT tournaments.

But despite this, it would be nice for us humans, to be able to cancel a single round regular tournament or RG without withdrawing, if we inadvertently hit the Tee Off before we're ready, or with the wrong equipment, or just simply highlighted the wrong tourney.

And I've suggested such in the recent past.

I have often thought that you should have the option to 'Play Later' from the in-game option screen until such time as you strike the first ball.  Once you hit that tee shot, it's too late, but prior to hitting that first tee shot, you should have the option to stop and begin later.

To answer your ? For myself playing a cheap ball means that the meter is faster for one.

Secondly, I am not wasting a better ball like in practice mode.

Thirdly, I should know what the better ball can or should do in any situation.

And my last point is for myself is that after playing the cheap ball and going to a better ball is that it seems like the meter is barely moving.

I forgot something. Also what I have found in when trying to dial in your equipment the cheaper balls are very close to the rated club yardage give or take.

What the heck is entering a RG, or SP tourney and not playing it?

If you plan on playing later, then enter it later.

    Seems simple enough to me.

I do this often, Mike.  Enter a tourney, such as the 50c Congress RG, prior to leaving for work before the tourney often will take 8 hours to finish even once closed, and we have 12 hours.  So, to make sure I get in I'll enter then go to work, come home and shower then sit down and play the RGs I entered early.  Otherwise I come home and the RGs I wanted are closed and have another 4-5 hrs. until completion.  I will also on occasion go to the RG screen and select several RGS, enter them, then play them when I feel like it over the course of several hours.

And on Monday, I will go ahead and enter ALL the free tourneys, whether I am ready to play them or not.

Say you have a set of basement stairs that you walk down thru daily, and it has low threshold.

The first time you hit your head...it hurts...makes you remember that every time you open the door to go downstairs afterwards, right?

    Yup.... however....

If I can raise the threshhold with relatively little effort or expense of my own (adding the confirm screen would take an hour or less of coding) so that neither I or any guests I may have over would have to worry about hitting their head EVER again, I might just go ahead and do that.

    @MDWa

For me, your link doesn't work. So, no idea what you're referring to.
