Jim. I could use a ruling here. I am paired with Kriztjan for rnd 3. He just turned Tour Legend, so we have Championship greens. We are playing as we speak because he has to get his round in. Should I be able to play again on tournament greens is my Question? What ever you decide is fine with me. Just a game.Send me a blog if you can. or i will look on here.

We've talked this situation through and have decided to allow Jeff to replay this round. Lisa03 will need to find a new partner (please use a marker) but if possible, it'd be appreciated if Lisa could still mark for Ironking34 once she's played her round (if this isn't possible, please tell IK ASAP so that he can organise a marker).
We understand that in a ranked round with a legend, a master / TM would have to adapt to the quicker green. However, this has been the case for over 18 months and most masters / TM's will be perfectly accustomed to tourney speed greens through playing MP and AS games over this period of time.
Championship greens are still fairly rare. Some players may have had very limited exposure to them and they are undoubtedly trickier to putt on than tourney speed greens. To put a few non-TL's at a disadvantage due to having to play a ranked round with a TL could affect their score against the rest of the field.
I appreciate that tour legends have to play on these speed greens for ranked rounds (and let's be honest by the end of the tour probably half the field will be there as well) but you will be getting an increased exposure to these greens on a daily basis and should be better prepared to score on them.
Going forward we will still use ranked rounds but we will aim to place tour legends together where possible. If we can't put them together, we will ask them to play with a marker.
Thanks
James
