    alcaucin:
Well said,in a couple of weeks the picture will probably be clearer

I think you're right, Andy. After starting at 90% like everybody else, I played in 2 AS matches last night. The first one had the host disconnecting twice but we were able to finish the round in reasonable time. The second one went off with no disconnects and now my % is up to 97 after only 2 games. As more games get played that occasional disconnect with no reconnect is going to have a minimal affect on the total. Now the question will be what is the typical "I never disconnect" rate going to be. Mid to high 90s I would guess.

IMO we are missing the point here. I like thousands of others on this site have railed against quitters. A system has been put in place to identify them, is it perfect no, is it needed absolutely. Most of us will settle in the 90 percentile what we will look for is the 70's and lower. Again IMO if you quit I don't want to play you & if  you are always having problems with your computer crashing, sorry I don't want to play you either. Bravo WGT for stepping up & doing something about this.

    You are right, H.

OTOH, there will be a difference between those playing match and AS and those playing Skins and Blitz. The former games work well in sorting out disconnects, the latter apparently not. "Good" players may settle lower than we think now.

Stroke play seems to be in the second section - read about "error" messages preventing a return from lobby to game.

Sorry I don't pay much attention to the forums normally. I just enjoy playing golf, my parkinsons disease robbed me of the option of playing the real thing, wgt is my way of keeping my hand in it ( so to speak ) all I've really cared about is being able to play on courses that in real life the rangers would have me run off after two or three holes.

I've played with people and had them leave and I've left games, I don't understand what the grief is all about. Why are people letting this get to them, life is way to short to whine about this to the point that wgt ( the people who are netting in the neighborhood of tens of millions off of us annually by the way ) has to stick some inane percentage restriction on your account.

In the time that I've been here I've played golf with people who are truly nice and people who resemble the back end of a Missouri mule. You process and keep in touch with the good and reject the bad, and that should be it. If the fact that there are folks out there who will leave a game bothers you then play alone, the fact that this is in place won't make them go away they'll always be around.

In fact I've left games, for a number of reasons not just because I was having a bad round. That isn't half as bad as some of the horses asses that have left nasty messages when they don't even know why I had to disconnect. I know that I'm in the minority over this, for the money that I've kicked into their billion dollar baby I'm of the opinion that they should've told you all to have a coke and a smile and shut the f.. up

I love this game and I don't intend to leave it anytime soon, I intend to meet and make new friends every day. That's something that has been a welcome extra on this site because there are in fact a lot of great people that play here. And unfortunately there are people who leave while we're in the middle of a round. Equally unfortunate is there are people who whine about thisMinor inconveinence.

People, there are a lot of bigger problems in this program as well as life in general. Try to put yourself in my place.......is your body a prison like mine. The more I type the more angry I get, so I conclude by saying try to have more patience with people, be more forgiving don't sweat the small stuff. And this is extremely minute as problems go.

Hewsey nailed it. This is exactly how I feel about this subject. And thank you WGT for listening to all the members who voiced their concerns reguarding this topic and acting on it in a timely manner. We all appreciate it very much.

Disconnects to happen sometimes to all of us and sometime for technical reasons.  So you are correct that the acceptable % will settle in a some value and we can consider that "normal" or acceptable.  It will be some thing less than 100%.

Please remember that if you ever see a technical issue that causes a disconnect, right click , submit the error to WGT with a brief nice description of what happened.  This will help us fix the issues.

    thanks

LOL! Same happened to me this morning! One quits and we're in the lobby. The other isn't doing well so he quits! I close the window expecting to go back and finish my round and it says I disconnected. % goes down! Oh well. At least I know the truth, and anyone who knows me knows better! So what's the point??? It does need some tweeking.
