Hole 1 Olympic Club, 19 mph wind at 1 o'clock, i aim LEFT side of fairway, miss ding opposite to wind by a fraction, ball leaves my club on a 45° angle RIGHT, just like i had sliced, and i end up in weeds and lost ball. 1 fresh ball lost.  Although i double bogey hole i carry on, and on a roll, -10 on the 16th.  Teeing off i have 13 mph STRAIGHT wind, i aim directly in front of me, NO TREES on this aim point, i DING shot, ball fly's left on another 45° angle, straight into tree and another lost ball & bogey. (2nd time in succession this has happened on that hole.)  EITHER there is a bug which occurs on this hole which causes drive to stray more left than normal and causes you to loose a ball or its purposely programmed in (hope not), and its "score limitation". Either way, its totally frustrating especially when you dinged shot and ball should have gone straight.

I dont mind buying balls, i buy Nike's daily, every other day, but to get them just taken away is wrong.

I saved link to replay as you mentioned a few weeks ago.  I saved 2 long eagles, and pasted as link in profile and also the 2 extra lost balls, i then clicked on link but i got error 1055 (or similar numbers).  On 1 replay i had the replay address pasted, so i copied that into game browser and replay loaded fine, so i presumed the links we're not working, so best just paste the links into address bar, but THICK CHRIS unlinked them first instead of editing to grab the replay address so the replays including a hole in 1 on olympic #13 have gone.  If you look on my profile page you will understand why i was "linking" the address instead of just copying & pasting address.  The ones with a link have come from e-mails i sent and they work perfectly, but the ones i've tried to link from copy and paste straight to profile dont seem to work, but the address itself DOES, So from now on i will just leave the http://www.wgt.com/forums/AddPost.aspx?ReplyToPostID=856315&Quote=False thingy from the replay address bar.  (If you've understood)

I get WTF shots, same as everyone else.  They're generally as rare as one would expect when one considers the random deviation.  A deviation out past the 3rd or 4th standard deviation is rare, but it is going to happen.

I must admit that I was on the verge of wondering, today.  I played a CTTH.  On 4 out of 9 holes, the wind had ZERO effect.  I don't mean it was a little off, or a lot off.  I mean that I hit exactly to my aim point, even though I had moved it to compensate for 15-25 mph of wind, mostly from the side.

I couldn't believe it, so I immediately played the course again.  Second time around, things worked "right" (a somewhat questionable definition).

I don't know what was up.  I do know that it can't be blamed on local performance.  At this point I'm looking at it as if someone tossed 20 heads in a row with an honest coin.  Rare, but gonna happen, eventually.

If it begins to happen really frequently, I'm going to have some serious questions.

Quite frankly, I can't stand the vociferous whiners and complainers that exhibit real tendencies to paranoia and claim that they're singled out for bad games simply because they are them.  No one with any sense singles out a few unknown persons out of millions.  It just isn't profitable, in the absence of personal animosity.

On the other hand, an attempt to screw people by screwing some random selection of 10% is another story.  I can't believe that it's the case.  If rational statistical analysis ever suggests otherwise, Lord help the guilty party.  The breaking of certain crooked poker sites will look like a slightly awry birthday party for 4-year-olds, in comparison.

Everyday I look at these forums and find a  new rant from the same guys describing how a certain shot did not behave as they expected..

    Lather, rinse, repeat...

On the contrary, Bear, I find Chris' experiences interesting from a different point of view. If deviations are random and span a certain range for a golfer, he plays enough to bear this out. It isn't like WGT is controlling anything, he just plays enough to see more than most.

I never see what he sees but then I don't play near as much as him nor at his level. It's common knowledge the game gets harder as you get better. I see Chris as a study in how it gets harder.  He doesn't yell and scream anymore, just says "See? This is what I'm talking about. Explain it." LOL. Nobody ever can.  :-)
