Great analogy and information Greyyowl.  Since WGT operates on Abast Flash Player, one cannot forget that besides any attempt and fine programming on WGT technical team, the game still depends on a second hand supplier of that "game-engine-player" per se.  So, besides the facts you numbered, one has to add also Flash Player Version issues, specially since the 11.3 vers. was almost a conspiration against WGT (lol).

I have never experienced such an enriching process of understanding, learning and trying different things for internet performance-enhancement before :  About six web browsers in less than a three months period, cleaning browser history and cache in a more regular basis, which I never needed before, and managing Flash Player cache and storage settings for an optimal performance.  It's nuts and yet wonderful.  Bottom line, I have to say that you are right on your statement, but also WGT should try to move on from depending on Adobe Flash Player and adapt all their game-design into a more reliable game-engine-player.

Besides your post, do not feedback on lousy threads from "5k+ers"; most of them can't even notice when they become disrespectful to the new blood on this site (us).  To them, trolling around becomes a secondary entertaining option, as they feed from your disappointment. Simply stay on the core of your topic. I tried to make one of them understand and my post became a pointless battle of someone else's sarcasm against my worthless attempts to probe nothing  (:o(

Respect and gratitude for your post.

I 2nd that! I've learned a ton of stuff checking this out. Andyson has been a huge source of intriguing facts and always inspires research. Speaking of which....

What are the realistic alternatives. I'd like to learn about them, need a clue.  :-)

Thank you for your worthless entry, please return and write something even more worthless soon.

Don't take it so hard. Helpful posters have been telling people that stuff for years.

    Greyyowl:
he fact is that if you browse the forums on WGT you will see literally hundreds of players complaining about jumpy meters, lag, stutter, glitches and a whole host of other problems. So are World Golf Tour to blame for this? Well quite simply, no!

Wrong!  Are they to blame for ALL the meter issues? No.

Are they to blame for SOME of the meter issues? Yes.

WGT can make changes to their code to improve the meter, not solve it totally, but help reduce stutter and lag.

MisterWGT himself said so in an on-line chat (scroll down for transcript):

    MisterWGT in the June Chat:
QUESTION 6 -- "Will there ever be a fix for the swing meter jitter/problem?"

Well... given that I see the same problem when I play online, I would LOVE to say so.  Reality is... there are a multitude of issues that affect this: flash itself, your cpu @ the time, video card, apps running, etc.  But... we are working on a few optimization solutions that will address some of the most common situations;  but it will not address all... simply because of the above list.  This is the blessing and curse of being a flash/browser game.  (emphasis added)

The bottom line is its not ALL on our computer.
