Requested Course

  I have seen flyers posted at Chambers Creek Golf Course in University Place, WA (near Tacoma) that the 2015 US Open will be played there. I have seen the course and it is beautiful and looks like it would be fun. It may be good advertisement for both.

  I assume you mean Chambers Bay. Unless something happens we will get it in 2015 for the Virtual U.S. Open. You do realize that they have to acquire the rights to use the course from the owners of the course. Some owners won't let WGT use their course. Case in point, Royal Lytham. We didn't have a Virtual British Open this year because the owners of Royal Lytham would allow WGT to use it. We got Oakmont in 2010 because they could not get the rights to use Pebble Beach. Hopefully they can get Chambers Bay.

  Mike, Chambers Bay is a stunning course... no two holes alike.  Dunes, rolling hills, one tree.  Most holes require creative approaches, not the usual throw the ball up in the air and let it plop,drop and check up by the pin.  I've made two pilgrimages there and have been mesmerized both times.

  FYI, the man most responsible for getting Chambers Bay built was the Pierce County Executive AND is a member on this site.

  at this point i would be happy with a local muni course. adding one course in the last year is pathetic.

  Chambers Bay. Looks as ugly as Royal St George does.

  How about Augusta National, WGT must have enough money for it because WGT must make 1 million a year and the cost couldn't be over 1.7 million.

  Interesting course to throw into the hat - I have played there and the vistas are unreal, Tough course where club selection is paramount, and when the wind blows can be a tough as any course. Cant see WGT doing this one, but would be nice.
