it's going to take me at least 20 rounds to even get close to qualifying. lol.

The few birdies I get are easily offset by the many bogies.

    The greens are ridiculously hard!

    It's a challenge though =)

Not a big fan of the recent updates on WGT. The Oakmont course is a difficult play which i don't mind however the tournament green setting is horrible. Would be all right if the greens were all the same speed, but they are definitely not. They aren't even close more like tournament to fast in our regular old game. There is no doubt in my mind that they are different.

Now i also have never had so many meter issues as i have today. I cleared  cache, i changed several settings and to no avail. I think we might be putting the horse before the cart here, i am all for more courses and more options for gameplay. However not if the quality of the game is going to get worse, and there is no doubt it has. The single biggest complaint i hear is meter problems and yet it continues to get worse it seems and with updates being done it seems to worsen. I am not one to sit here and complain but we seem to be going backwards when it comes to quality of gameplay. Can we please address the single biggest issue in the game "METER PROBLEMS". For all those nay sayers out there who say this is our individual PC problems........NOPE this is a server issue and it is pretty obvious........sorry guys not impressed with recent updates....

Usually when its busy I see some trickle down into my game but not today.

People with meter issues should check how many Processes are running with Control-alt-delete.  If you have 20 or more, guess what, that is WAY too many (I run 12 not including 2 for AV which dont turn off and cant go lower).  You'll need to learn which are necessary and shut them off when you play including your anti-virus and make sure you run gamebooster as well as set the Flash quality to at least medium or low, turn off reflections, have no windows open, etc etc.

When your computer is not the fastest or even if it is, EVERYTHING counts as it all adds up and this game is a pig on resources so you have to cut down where you can.

    Enjoying the new course ???

Sorry guys it is obvious that only the players that bought better clubs get the distance needed. Putting is a disaster speedmeter sucks big time. WGT can influence the game and I am sure they did bigtime. Unfair! Breaks don't break and when they do it is the other way around. So I am a bit disappointed.

Hey, where's the Oakmont Dominator, Best 18 hole score on Oakmont Country Club, award? Tin is 85. Played a couple games below that. Is this the same type of error where it didn't show up on St Andrews?

Tried the USGA tournament game. Clubs weren't reaching the fairway sometimes. Those tournament speed greens, it just keeps rolling and rolling. Was at +8 after the front 9. On 11 was in some rough by the green but it was very close and downhill so had to chip half of the 6yd club. 3 times it did the chip attempt that goes 1 inch. Got extremely insulted by the whole usga tees and tournament greens that I closed the window.

The number of processes is not necessarily the issue. Its the amount of resourses that each process takes up.

Why do these discussions always end in namecalling? Just because someone does not have the same viewpoint you do or does not like somethong you do is no reason to revert back to the third grade. That being said Oakmont in tourney mode is difficult . After 3 rounds I have yet to break par, thats what makes it rewarding though. If you could jump right on and shoot 65 would that be better.Playing with someone in a ranked mode the greens slowed down considerably and yet I was far happier with my +3 in the qual. then -3 for fun. It has to be hard thats the draw I think.

Oakmont sucks? Your a pro thats been playing for 2 weeks? Your not even qualified to say anything "sucks"....go play world of warcraft, crybaby!

Oh and( level or duration) of play has nothing to do with the validity of someones post.
