Oakmont sucks.

  you also have to keep in mind its set up here like its a US Open. Once this ends and they put it up to play freely, it wont be this hard.

  Not sure what you mean Shaun?  You can play this course freely now...create a multiplayer round and then pick whether you want to play in "ranked" or "practice" mode...Harve

  what I mean is. After the opens are done, the courses will go to the normal place where you can play them single player from the main WGT page, as well as probably having tourneys on them. When that happens, the tees get shorter and it wont play as hard. Right now its set up for open qualifying and open practice, so its set to be about as hard as possible. Once the tourneys are done you will get a shorter, easier version

  I was kinda hoping the difficulty level would be applied to the other courses too and then an elite tier introduced after that.

  though im sure they might toughen some stuff up, the open difficulty is special. I wouldnt want it on every course every day. Though I agree it would be cool to have a couple tourneys where it goes back to playing that hard. but just for fun, they should also do it like the others and give one you can tear up a bit

  Usually when its busy I see some trickle down into my game but not today. 

  People with meter issues should check how many Processes are running with Control-alt-delete.  If you have 20 or more, guess what, that is WAY too many (I run 12 not including 2 for AV which dont turn off and cant go lower).  You'll need to learn which are necessary and shut them off when you play including your anti-virus and make sure you run gamebooster as well as set the Flash quality to at least medium or low, turn off reflections, have no windows open, etc etc. 

  When your computer is not the fastest or even if it is, EVERYTHING counts as it all adds up and this game is a pig on resources so you have to cut down where you can.

  The number of processes is not necessarily the issue. Its the amount of resourses that each process takes up.

  And that is why you shut them down, so they can't take up any CPU or RAM usage no matter how small, they all add up and some can spike at the worst time, like when your taking a shot.  I shut even the smallest ones down I don't give a rats ass how small or unobtrusive they appear, the less running the better and you dont need 3/4 of what runs not to mention all the UNNECESSARY services that Windows runs in the background, if you let it.

  Sounds like the patch was last night. Just shot 75 and was no silver Dominator award after.
