. The high temperature during our visit was probably about 70 and we had rain on pretty much every day, at least for a bit of the time. Not sure if this is common or not for early August but I think that when we (US golfers) think of course maintenance, we think of the greens being mowed daily and the fairways 2 or 3 times a week and rough once a week. Don't think you would see that happen in Scotland.
Lol , you must have been here during a heatwave , honestly it's not usually that warm here and of course we always have the sea breeze / howling wind , and yes we do have a reasonable amount of days when it rains .
Don't notice the fairways being cut all that often , but quite how frequently / infrequently they're done i'm not sure .
I still have to cut my grass weekly , so the lack of sun hasn't deterred it from growing , maybe it's the sandy nature of the "soil" on the fairways that inhibits quicker growth ?
