  OK, every quickly BP is not a british company's  its one of those global businesses open to investment. The reality of the matter is the BP that exists today is no longer a British business and the operational failures in the Gulf were caused by the USA not enforcing the globally agreed safty standards. Had it still been a british campany people and fishers alike would still be swimming in gulf.

  The damned operators knew their crap was weak and chose to chase their almighty profits, ignoring the consequences. Now we get to pay for the mess and not with dollars-with OUR environment.

  You know British Petroleum(BP) might want to change it's name then...If they are no longer a BRITISH BASED COMPANY...I think that is or could be seen as misleading the public...That's like going to RED LOBSTER but wind up getting served Chop Suey...Somebody got sum splaining to do...and it ain't Lucy...

  I agree with you Griffy as when you cut corners, with an oil at all cost attitude it's only the environment that ever really gets hurt.

  BP is anglo/american.... its everyones problem....the need for energy and the cost cutting in pursuit of the mighty dollar....andarko petroleum(on further investigation) also have their finger in the pie....actually i dont have a clue who owns it....that clears that up! personally i cant wait for it all to run out(not in my lifetime) a few billion less people on the planet cant be bad!

  i feel most sorry for the wildlife....the way we abuse this planet is unforgivable....the sooner were removed the better,,the planet will do just fine without us....when the mothership returns im gonna be on the first flight outta here!
