I still have the album In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, still has the plastic sleeve over the album cover.

That album brings back wonderful memories of my youth. Also, good to see vinyl on the come-back.

I saw them at the Teen Center on Victory Blvd in the SF Valley for 50 cents in 1968 before they became popular. It was back when they put colored water and vegetable oil on glass plates and then used an overhead projector to project the moving images on the walls. Psychedelic was born.

My brother took it to another level by learning the drum solo, turning the lights off in a room, lighting 2 cigarettes and then playing along with the song with the "drumsticks" held over his head. You only saw the glowing cigarette tips in perfect time and thought you were watching King Kong play.  LOL

4 of my best friends in 1969 started a band called CUE, Completely Unique Experience. The drummer couldn't get the drum solo down, so whenever they played, I sat in for the drums on that long mother, that and when they played Wipe Out by the Safaris. My only claim to musical fame. Still do it on the dashboard and steering wheel.

My number one thing on my bucket list, is to play Great Balls of Fire on the piano. I've been practicing for 2 months now. Need to get my leg loosened up so I can use my foot too, like the Killer.

How could you forsake brother Morrison. Even I know that drum solo from my all time favorite song, Light My Fire.  :-D
