Disagree with the OB (Fabian) about making the game more difficult, the game is VERY easy the way it is now.

We are not talking here about making the game more difficult, it makes the game unpredictable.

Going from low to high wind or to very fast to championship greens makes the game significantly harder but predictable.

Beside the fact that the side devitations are exagerated (but this you could adapt), you cannot judge the distance at all.

I proposed to have two views of the box around the ball: one as it is now and another rotated by 90° to see up/down hill better. As it is now, you don't know at all if the ball will reach the pin or stop at 10yds or more from it.

If you like to play dice, fine, but not me.

    Regards

Agree with both,,This will be fun for Skins or Alt shot as an alternative play format,But half edged box lies need to be looked at,when you have 100 yards from FW you shouldn't need to hit 45 extra LOL,,And shots around the green need to be looked at too and obviously bunkers

agree, there's 2 many bunker shot, especially 40/50 % which go only a few yards with full power (with the 50yds wedge)

Another thing is that in some situations it's impossible 2 get a reasonable flatlie, even on you drives, e.g. Olympic#4. No way 2 find a flatspot overthere resulting in an approach shot which needs lots of extra power: just had an 134 appraoch, wind 13@8, pin 20ft up. Normally I'll play this about 147yds power. I gave it the full 165yds 7i and it still game short of the green. Guess the reallife pro's are using a PW 4 that shot!!!

Another example is BB#9. When you don't have tailwind it's impossible 2 drive the bunker and your ball will always be on a very unevenlie part of the fairway. So you can't even go 4 the green, not 2 imagine the pin, although the shot is less than 200yds....not realisic at all.

I really think that those things have 2 be sorted out first before implementing unevenlies in ranked rounds. When you guys at WGT succeed in this I think unevenlies can be a very attractive addition 2 the game....

Agree with Tess & GoodyC, the feature is not precise enough and I hope never so predictable that the top players start throwing darts with UL as they are doing already on TL level on champ greens.

But isn't unpredictable part of the real golf?..of course it is. Any pro playing a perfect shot gets disappointed because of the ball does not land within 3-5 feet of the aim.

There are so many physical factors that have influence on the ball hit/fly/landing that missing the aim for 10 feet is still a great shot.

Perhaps it is only me but I would like to see this game more realistic, sorry to insist but just not so easy as it is. I always come to the same conclusion.....lets enjoy a 70 (-2 under part) in "unpredictable" conditions and not keep on making the 53-52 in important qualifying sessions...the game is so "predictable" that the best players make those low 50 almost with their eyes closed, yes impressive scores, we bow hour heads to those remarkable scores and their authors.

I was thinking that perhaps players no so skilled can also have a chance if they have a good day finding those great shots on UL.

    Cheers, Eric

Eric, it's not only about unpredictable, but 4 me it's more about "impossible". Just finished my 2nd round in the  Tour Legend Uneven Lies Invitational
. Not that much happening at the front 9 but I stayed out of trouble most of the time. Then I had a really nice back 9 till 18. My drive was just off the fairway in the rough. Approach came up short inches and rolled back in bunker......cost me 3 shots 2 get out of it and 'saved'double bogey with a good putt. Guess that's just 2 much of a punishment. In normal play I still had a good change 2 birdie the hole after my drive and now I finish with a double bogey which could have been a triple....

I'm seeing a card that's very good on the backside. Would love to know how you played on the front as well and what was the wind? You took advantage of the par 3's like you have to do and both of the par 5's. You made birdie's on the first 2 par 4's which is very good. I know those holes and how you have to play them. Question: if you had 6 months of practice with the UL's, do you think you would have known exactly what club to hit your approach at 18? I'm positive you would and at least would have been able to get out of the bunker in 1 stroke.

Not sure if you watched the US Open on Olympic but this backside card would have been taken by any of the players. In my experience, 4 under on the back is great.

Only 59 players entered. It's free entry anyway so eveyone will get some credits for their time and ball use. For the most part you TL's will receive credits for testing the UL's.
