Nothing wrong with the feature, I can handle it with easy....but Kia greens & bad putting make a terrible cocktail...HELL!

I'd like to know how the Tour Legend course conditions have been set? We Legends are getting mod wind and Champ Speed Greens. It seems we're getting mostly the new Kiawah pins including the ghost pin on 15.

OK Cerino I have a screenshot that gives a good indication of what confronts us on short shots, not overly difficult , but just hard to judge unless you have some experience.

If its too small view in a new tab i think ( yes -  new tab is much bigger )

So what I hit here was my CG 64º  at 60% power of a full shot, aiming about 14 feet right. That is a 30 yard shot normally.

The result was bang online just 3 feet short, and a birdie.

Been a few days since I gave it a go, but think it was low winds and champ greens?

I could not agree more.  There is no way to adjust  you just have to aim a ridiculous amount right or left.  The effect the lie has on the wedges need to be toned down a bit. I know its a work in progress but I think you have a long way to go on this one.

That's not a bad tip :)   Normal play, I would have flopped it close....  Give us all  a good idea about UL from that position close to green thks :)

What I'm going to say is nothing to do with M's Post... which is another good tip.

This is the best Game Online that I have played. When I first started it was hard as nails.... as it does now, if your a Newby.

The reason this is the best online golf game... is you just get on the tee and hit the ball, you get on the fairway and just hit the ball....  On the greens it's a bit harder, but you just putt it. With a few simple adjustments of course.

It's not like other games....  when you adjust ya left foot here or right foot there,  move you hand here or there...side spin, back spin...  maybe all around spin...lol.  Fade, Draw (that's not a bad idea though)... this and that.... Just like doing the Hokey Pokey....lol

The best thing about this game is, It's nice and simple.....

Ok... People are complaining about the low scores that are shot at the moment or the game is getting too easy...  Well with top shelf clubs and balls.. what we didn't have a few years ago, then the score will become too low and game will be easy ( for me sometimes...lol)..  most of those low scores are from the shorter Tee's, with Top Shelf Clubs... I even shot a 57 the other day on St.A 18hole comp off the yellows, with a Boge, Par Finish...grrr....lol.  I haven't shot a score under that yet, but it's possible, I know.

Too many low scores.... lets make the game harder shall we.

I think we need to slow down our thinking with the U/Lies... Everybody giving tips and how to play it is great... I don't want it to be standard. It will make this game harder to play and not FUN any more. Fun is the main thing about this game.

Just remember this is the best golf game online.... It's not real golf :)

Til now a 58 from the legend Paul is best score ...and an awesome too.

Someone said Kia was easier then Beth and he expected several or many to score under 60. As for the tips, Kia is much harder then Beth with UL because Kia's fairways are sloppy besides Kia's greens are ridiculous bumpy.

I asked this before; are we legends playing exactly the same tournament (same conditions) as the Tour legends?, I believe so.

Are Masters playing on championship greens this tournament?

I find this quiet interesting due to several reasons; amount of players participating per level, scoring, personal score statistics, etc.

I finally do not see the familiar names on top of the Tour Legend leader-board!!!, to me this is a good sign, either they find UL silly, they think it is too difficult to score low 50's as they normally do, or simply they do not want to give it a chance. Pity is the last one is the reason why they are not scoring in this particular tournament, wish we all would give it a chance for the good of WGT and its competitive side.

I am very happy to see that this invitation tournament is a success, so many players have submitted scores and they keep on coming. Happy to see that the pessimistic players were wrong and that, good or bad players are trying their best to score good with the Uneven Lies.

Hats off to TallAcePaul with his 58 at the moment, well done m8.

Eric, as MBaggese said a few posts up, Tour Legends are on Champ Greens with Low Winds, with a mixture of new/old pins. Interested to hear that Legends are playing in Moderate winds, so your/their set-up is slightly harder.

Well done to TaulAcePaul with his 58. Can't say I'm suprised though that someone has gone so low. I've only played it a couple of times and the scores are there by staying out of trouble, by hitting the fairways (Kia is arguably the easiest driving course on the game) and then making GIR. As always then putting becomes of paramount importance. As you said putting on Kiawah greens (especially on Champ speed) is quite a lot trickier than at BPB. Course management of course is far more important than usual and I'm sure this comes into play far more on courses like Olympic and Oakmont.

This is all from rather limited experience I'll admit, but personally I think Uneven Lies is a good concept for experienced players. It adds an extra dimension to the game and forces you to think more around the course. I do worry if it might be too complicated for new players to take it all in - some might embrace the additional complexity/potential realism, but I feel more will be put off by too steep a learning curve.

I still feel Uneven Lies need to be tamed down a bit more (especially on shorter shots from Wedge down) - not to make it easier, but I feel some courses (BPB/Kia) will play considerably easier than others (Oak/Oly), which doesn't seem quite right to me (maybe I'm off-base here).

It's also quite a strange concept to feel you need to really attack and cash-in on the Par 3's, which traditionally tend to be hardest holes. I had a quick look at the 2012 PGA Championship Stats:

    http://www.pga.com/pgachampionship/scoring/course_stats

Score averages over the entire Tournament came in at:

    Par 3's - 3.227
    Par 4's - 4.120
    Par 5's - 4.920

That's the order of difficulty I'd expect to see and I'm sure the same order of the majority of WGT players who have been playing a while. Of course the counter-arguement is that those numbers are way higher than the scores we would see on Kiawah with Even Lies by decent WGT players, and Uneven Lies helps to bring the numbers closer to those of the real Pro's.

Slightly off tangent here, and I've been saying this for a while (since the Burners and Callies came in) but I'd also like to see equipment downgraded across the board / meter sped up (I know this won't happen - imagine the moaning!) to bring scoring up for everyone.

Didn't mean to write so much there... better get back to work!

Thanks Eric must say it was my putting that did it though, nailed everything inside 20 ft, ended with about 180 ft of putts in total and had 1 chip in, also made sure I had a putt every time with 100% fairways and 100% GIR.

Stunning and amazing score there Paul. You said exactly what it takes to score well on UL's. 100% fairways and greens and putting lights out on every hole. GL in round 2.

How much have you played UL before this Tourney and would you consider playing in a starter club and ball UL Tourney? Check the Community Organized Tourney Thread for details. ;)
