Here's an update on the Master and Lower sub-competition.

    Corwyn 142 E
    joewaters 152 +10
    Camotto 171 +29
    hyena64 174 +32

Corwyn is proving that lower-tier players have a chance to win the tournament.  He increased his lead by two strokes at St. Andrews and is starting to look unbeatable.  Of course, there are still 36 hazardous holes to play, and he has to pass his urine test.  Did I mention the urine test?

I had the pleasure to be invited for a Californian Waltz with macduff10, a really remarkable experience.

Four cats and an Oachkatzlschwoaf ;-> helped us around in step, strictly abiding the rules.

+4 plus +4 meant a 78 for me (2 better than last time), while Mac suffered from Bogeyritis on the second nine (only interrupted from a "stupid" (1) bird on 15) for an unlucky 82.

    (1) In fact, brilliant club selection which I doubted but repeated :)

I'll be happy to meet you again, Mac, anytime!

It was a great pleasure to play with Paul (alosso) on Olympic (read hell).  My aforementioned bogeyitis was in full flower.  Paul (darn him) was able to figure things out & play very well, I thought.  I believe only one bunker had to be messed with, and that was by him....ha.  Despite my luck in that regard, I was able to gum up most of the holes, for which I take a measure of pride. Very fun round.   Paul......ausgezeichnet. Waving Squirrel's tail now.....lol

Here are the screen shots from moi.  And Corwyn, I think I got them all this time...is there a special prize for that?

    Hi Mike,

I had paired you up with Russ (ColumbusStorm), as your weekend times overlapped. But it seems maybe you're only available Weekdays... is that right?

(On your original Data Entry you left the Weekend blank, which I took to mean 'same as weekday', so that may be the cause of the confusion)

    Corwyn:
3rd Group will includeColumbusStorm (Russ) //  seemorehair (Tom) //  iMikeAllStar  //  joewaters
[to save Tom and Mike playing again together, I suggest Tom & Joe; and Mike & Russ]

CHANGE OF PLAN: So, all 4 of you, it looks like we have to change this around... and Tom & Mike will need to play together again (sorry, you're gonna see a lot of each other!), luckily Joe & Russ also have good time overlap.

    Apologies for the change!

Very funny, Ben! (I'm not sure I'd be able to provide a sample... I'm sweating buckets during my rounds; I'm not sure there's anything left!)

It was always my hope that lower-tier players had a chance in this tourney: that's the goal of the level playing field concept. There's a long way to go, but I'll just say I'm relieved (and disappointed) that the strongest player I've ever seen using only Starters, Colm (cmdking, Pro level) who gave Hans a real run for his money last time around (and was only prevented from completing the tourney by Hurricane Sandy), wasn't able to take part this time.

I still wish there was a good way to attract more lower-tier players to these community tourneys. They just don't read the forums (as we've seen over Xmas with all the attempted giveaways to newbies) ...

    Hi, Corwyn.

I think joewaters and seemorehair already paired up... Me and Russ are a no go cause our times dont overlap. I really cant play on the weekends...

    Hi Mike,

As I said above, we'll need to go to plan B: Tom (seemorehair) & Mike (iMikeAllStar) will need to play together again (sorry, you're gonna see a lot of each other!), luckily Joe (joewaters) & Russ (ColumbusStorm) also have good time overlap.

I'll PM everyone involved, and see if we can make this change in time.

    Thanks, Corwyn

St Georges is a right cr*p shoot isn't it................................

Bad wind set + side hill lies can leave you not being able to reach 50%+ of the greens. Well Hans, we'll all be blowing the sh*tty wind in your direction for R4 ;)
