    Corwyn:
My aim is to publish an initial round of player pairings tonight or at latest by lunchtime tomorrow. They'll be listed on the first page, so please check that frequently.

    Pairings Update:

I'm a little behind on this... Sorry! (It's my son's 9th birthday today, and I'm taking him to play real-life golf!)

I got almost all the way there late last night, but a few quick questions came up:

Jason: Are you on Hawaii time, or in Iowa?!!!

Mati: You didn't click any time slots. Are you really available 24/7 at the weekends, or could you at least fill in some preferences?

Hyena64: You too seem to be a 24/7 player, weekdays and weekends... Is that really right?

Signup form is here, if anyone need to fill it out again, or for anyone new!

FYI: With OeJ out, and another 5 signups since last night, we're now at 31 players. Hope to have initial player postings up by midnight tonight...

    Yippee, I shaved 9 strokes off 2nd try - 77 with 3 birdies :)

    Hey Corwyn!

I filled the sign up form and I just want to explain something. The time frames I checked as "possible" are only possible for acting as a marker, not for my actual round.

I'm guessing you decided on starter putters? Well, I guess I'll just have to suck up my "pride" and except I'll be 2 putting (hopefully). Unless I can learn the "move the marker and ding" method over night. Hope springs eternal ;-) I tried UEL about 5 times in the past months, so let the fun frustration begin.

P.S.: My mantra before bed will now become "stay on the fairway, stay on the fairway".

I played about 5 rounds of UL with starters on OAK F9. It was quite the challenge lol. Hopefully I can post a pic of my last  card.

edit: Thanks Corwyn. I used the link you posted on the 2nd page to upload my card and it works great. I just changed the height from 550 to 400.

    Corwyn:

Wow, what an incredibly generous offer! Thank you so much, Ben. (And delighted that you're joining the tourney).

Right now, we only have 3 Masters enrolled (and none from any lower tier), but it's a great incentive...

... The only challenge is how to reach those lower-level players?

There must be many proficient Starter Clubs Amateurs, Pros, Tour Pros, Masters out there... just dying for a chance to tee up on a level playing field with some of the big boys. Where are you folks?

(If anyone else sees this, and can spread the word within your cc's, please feel free! Thanks!)

Yeah, I wish I would've caught wind of this earlier...I never check this section of the forum.  It's still a worthy prize for the simple fact that the winner will come from one of the few with the guts to enter.

And it's not so generous, I'm just recycling Hans' winnings from the last one ;)  Thanks for the gracious wall post, Hans.  That was the best round of my life...sorry about your computer issues.

    Good to know. Thanks!

Yes, Starter Putter it is, everyone!

You could always just shoot for the GIR, or Ave Distance prizes, and not worry too much about actual scoring if putting's going to be too much of an adjustment. Whatever you decide, it's great to have you on board!
