    Corwyn:

I counted 3 bogeys or worse on the card, rather than the 2 on your form.

Sounds correct; forgot to add on the double!

Mike & I are in the clubhouse, he with a 78 and a 72 for me.  I had to go to the basement to fetch an old, 1950's era baby name book because I was running out of girls' names to hang on Mike after all his short putts.

    LMBO!

I wore out a few choice words to myself;)

Great fun Ben and good scoring!!

I'm glad Ben got the stats pages up, after I entered them in the submission sheet, I closed the game client and lost them.

Again, well played Ben, best of luck at RSG!

No problem... We'd all like to forget our doubles!

Well 2nd practice on RSG, and it seems it's possible to shoot low(ish) provided you get the right windset.

The eagle on #2 was a pitch in from around 145yd, but other than the bogey, which was my own fault with a terrible miss ding on the approach, it was quite straight forward because I had mostly good winds.

My 1st practice I had not so good winds and shot +4.

As we near the weekend, with just over 2 days left of the 3rd Round, here is an interim Leaderboard (full details here), and a Status Check:

16 players have completed their Olympic round, with 13 left to play.

Shiner (mnshiner) & David (hyena64) have said that they'll be playing Sat AM, and Mizzy (MizzyMan) mentioned his hope to find a marker for Saturday 7pm to 12am GMT (with MBaggese offering his services).

    That leaves:

    Russ (ColumbusStorm) & Joe (joewaters)

    Phil (Phaxda) & Stu (SPINO1)

    Tim (TeeWade) & Reese (brhthecarpenter)

    Cam (Camotto) & FairwayRuepel68,

    and Mati (MatildaIgaly) and Daboofness

Are you folks all set up with plans for your games?

[Here is the 3rd Round Score Submission link (Olympic)]

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It may not be until Sunday evening, or Monday morning, that we get finalized 3rd Round scores in...

If there is anyone who needs to get a start this weekend on their 4th Round at Royal St. George's, then please feel free to go ahead and schedule with a playing partner near you on the Leaderboard. (Consult the Time Availability chart for someone with good time overlap, or just repeat with your 3rd round partner if necessary.)

    Sweet, Neil!

I've had one go at it earlier today, and managed par for 18 holes, playing 3rd shots for approaches to #15, #17, #18. I was pretty happy with that. In fact, given that Hans seems out of reach (barring a Greg Norman-esque Sunday collapse), my goal is to see if I can squeeze out a -1 and manage a par total for all 72 holes. However, since my last RSG effort (in Tough-It-Out I) was a 76, I'm not anticipating that anything near par will be easy!

It's going to be classic links golf, where you need to think your way around, and conjure up some pretty imaginative shots and make some tricky risk/reward choices. Fun!!!

Round 3 on Olympic for joewaters and ColumbusStorm

Not very impressive start and even a worse finish.

Really need to practice more. My couple practice rounds were better; 74 for 18 and 36 on front 9. Probably just choke when I know it really counts.

It was a bloody disaster Russ, let's not mince words.

I birdie for me and 2 for Russ.

I'll have better clubs next week,  Oooops, No I won't.

I'm gonna murder RSG to be sure.

I have back-up pics if anything is missed.
