  I see now it is more than just a leaderboard. It rolls advertisements for various GC/NBC sponsors. I see no way to dispose of the distraction. Bad design, unless one is raking in the $$$ from the sponsors. 

  That wouldn't be us.

  If this is a portent of things to come...it is bad news, friends.

  EDIT: It's more than just a one-off skills challenge. It's the standard WGT playing window embedded within the GC website. All features are active. I was able to create a stroke round at Oakmont.

  Fascinating.

  I found this game through ESPN arcade just over a year ago. They offered 3 different WGT challenges there. As far as I can, ESPN doesn't yet own WGT, so the fact there's 1 WGT challenge on GC may not mean anything more than a commercial connection.

  You can do the same from ESPN arcade page for over a year.

  Flipping eck, that meter is as smooth as ice on there. How come its crap here? If i was used to the smooth meter being that smooth, i could have done better than i did, and im in 1st so far, lol.

  I'm no IT geek. But that won't stop me from speculating. Perhaps the play over at GC is on a dedicated server? This would provide someone new to the game with a flawless first experience. 

  Geez, now I'm being drawn into the fray. 8*(

  LMAO....was going to say the exact same thing.....that is by far the smoothest meter i have ever had the pleasure to play with....

  And here i was believing my computer was the problem....lol.

  Everyone should try this......simply the smoothest meter ever.

  That's a fair point, but like Chris, I just get the feeling something's up.  Maybe just wishful thinking, but WGT seems like it'd fit TGC like a golf glove, so to speak.

  I didn't notice the meter being any more or less smooth than normal...might be a function of one's location, time of day, any number of variables.
