PUHOLINO: As far as people calling for a "strike", so WGT's cash box would "suffer" the consequences, think about this. When a business is no longer profitable, it usually shuts down. What ya gonna do then?
I'm the person who suggested an "organized strike" which in this case should have been an "organized boycott".
A boycott or strike does not put a company out of business. A company usually puts itself out of business. Look at the Detroit auto companies, still in operation after God knows how many strikes.
A strike or boycott is action taken when concerns fall on deaf ears and are not taken seriously. It allows concerns to be brought to the bargaining table that otherwise would have no chance at all.
I sincerely doubt that WGT would lock the doors if an organized boycott were to take place and If they did shut down there was life before WGT and there will be life after WGT.
Don't get me wrong I think this a great game and I hope that it only gets better as time moves forward.
However, after reading through the forums I see what is happening as "DEJA VU" as far as pricing is concerned. From what I've been able to gather each time new products have been added at outrageous prices everyone complains (wah-wah) as they purchase the product and as they continue to puchase the product the whining stops and what was orginally unacceptable is now normal.
So, it is like the boy who cried wolf. Heard it before, time heals all and once again the sheep will return to their old passive selves.
I sincerely do not mean to offend anyone. Just stating it the way I see it.
