What's the hardest opening hole in WGT?  What's the hardest finishing hole?

Conversely, what are the easiest opening and finishing holes?

I think the easiest opening hole is the par 4 #1 at Kiawah.  Hardest might be the par 4 #1 at Oakmont, but I think it's the par 4 #1 at Olympic.

Easiest finishing hole?  #18 at St. Andrews is pretty easy.  So is #18 at BPB.  But this time I'm going to go with the 18th at Olympic for the easiest finishing hole.  Hardest is a cluttered field.  Oakmont #18 is a pain, the 18th at Kiawah is deceptively long, but I think #18 at Congressional is the hardest closing hole.

    Thoughts?  (just for curiosity)

Cabo #18 is the hardest for me, If not below the hole on your approach, it could be a disaster...lol

Beth #18 will be the easiest for me,  I birdie that hole most of the time for some strange reason.

St.A #1 with the front pin will be the Easiest.

Oly#1 is the hardest, I agree

Depends on the pin placement. True the front pin is one the 2 easiest birdie holes on here. The other being #1 @ Kiawah front pin. But the back pin on # 1 @ St.Andrews is not that easy.

Easiest closing hole # 18 Hardest holes.

Hardest # 1 Kiawah back pin. It is just a very hard hole to putt

#18  Congressional  back pin. It is just too easy to hit the lake there.

I usually birdie the opening hole at Bethpage 8 or 9 times out of 10. But I would agree with St Andrews opener too.

    Easiest:

    St Andrews #1 / Bethpage #1 / Kiawah #1 (all are 80% + birdie chances)

    St Andrews #18

    Hardest:

    Oakmont #1

    Oakmont #18

BPB 1 can be tricky to hit the fairway with the wind. As someone else said STA 1 back pin can be a nasty putt. Has to be Kiawah for me especially as you never get much wind.
