Looking forward to this 1. It'll certainly make the skins games interesting.

Can we expect to see it in the RG line-up at any time? or other tournaments? I understand it won't be ranked roundable but i sure would like to see tournaments played on it.

Hopefully it can be used for Match Play, CTTH, Blitz and skins.

that's the dilemma we have been thinking about. Until there is a better solution, if any, the course will only be available for non-rated game modes. In fact, it may not be available for all non-rated modes at first. I am not sure 100% there, so we'll see when it comes out

Icon, you could index the scores so that they could be used for ranked rounds, multiplying the raw score by 1.33 to get the nearest equivalent for a par-36 9-hole ranked round or par-72 18-hole ranked round.

What really needs to happen is an overhaul in how average is calculated anyway. It ought to be based on score over/under par not absolute score. F9 at Olympic is 34 and F9 at Whistler is, I think, 37. With 9 hole scores being doubled that's a difference of 6 for the same score under par.

Just played front and back 9 (my first 21!) and great selection Icon. I'm actually quite glad Oakmont won't let you put #8 in there...

Thanks - a nice selection.

It would be great if you could open the course for ranked rounds and for country club tourneys. As suggested, you could index the scores once you see how the holes play on average, in order to obtain a par-72 equivalent.

For averages, you could also weight the Best of Par 3s less heavily than the full-length courses. You would not have to explain this to us in detail since the system for calculating averages is officially opaque anyway.

There are various reasons peeps are not eager to play long practice rounds.

You could also make course awards for Best of Par 3's, using the raw scores but adjusted appropriately, thus the Diamond award could be for a 43 instead of a 57.
