    phiber:

Second look at the members in the club and look at all of their stats on the CC page, you won't learn the member that way but you can see who is active in playing, you will NOT see if they are playing in CC tourneys though.

    Very well written Shrude

And Sherbrooke Country Club  also Ms St-Hilaire :)

Suggestion: Also to recognise if a club is active is not the size of a CC  but more pourcentage of players active  : choose a CC and go to CC main page  & then choose  DATE LAST PLAY, then you will see easely per example  numbers of players active per day, 3 days , 1 week.

If you choose some active players in the list & go see in the player history (player score history) and yes you can see if he play a CC tourney or not. If he play choose the tourney he play > clic on leaderboard & then you can see how many players from the CC play that tourney.

My club has a playing average of 96.4% over the last 3 weeks and 100% over the last month. If they don't join in then I kick them out. Unlike some clubs where half of their "members" gave up the game months ago.

she's right ! ...all 250 members have played in 2013 and 134 members had joined in 2012 so no one can say '' oh well , it's because they're all new ''.

myself , i have no rules yet as to remove members if they aren't active ...but that will come eventually i guess !?!

( but i think the % should be reverse ! ...lol ...the more you go back in time , the smaller the % should be )

To help prospective members the 'last round played' stat should be 'last CC round played'.

84% for our club, I look at their activity every 3 months & cull the inactive.

We recruit and develop lower tiers. Rare we let a legend in.

  • Dont join a CC unless you are going to participate in CC tourneys
  • Dont join a CC unless you interact at least a little, with the other Club members in the Club Forums.
  • Dont join a CC if you aren't going to friend up some members and enjoy quality game time.
  • Do join a CC if you are sick of people disconnecting from the game
  • Do join a CC if you want immediate and friendly advice and tips on the game from fellow members and the CC forums
  • Do join a CC if you like to a part of a team and enjoy team events.
  • Do know who the CC owner is.  :P

But don't join a club just because the owner is female and you are a sad lonely man with delusions.

I have been a member of a larger club and a member of a small club.  The small club works for me as an owner as we congregate on Team Speak and do not type.  You get to know all your members and it is a more personal WGT experience for everyone.

We use a handicap system that allows with good play for anyone within the club to win our club sponsored (credit) tourney's.

Bigger is not better imo, but to each his/her own I guess.
