Course: Choose the venue.  St. Andrews, Bethpage and Kiawah can all be chosen at this time. Oakmont Country Club will be available shortly after the USGA Virtual Championship concludes.

When do we Get Oakmont  for cc Tourney's .  Also  how about an option   to move the tee boxes

    thanks

Yeah still waiting for Oakmont. I thought surely if it's available for ready-gos it would be for CC's to but no not yet.

I can see your point Avatar since your club is exclusive to legend players. There are 39 members and 34 are legend and the other 5 are tour master,  who will be legend in a short period most likely, and tells me when I view a CC before deciding to join that I am not capable of holding a torch with that group in tournament standards if I am master or below. I guess my point is it is all players choice to join a CC if they want to and it is their decision on which CC they decide to join. However they should give a lot of consideration to the current players and their tier levels before jumping into a "pool of sharks" so to speak and then start moanin, groanin, and whining about how unfair the CC is because they can't sustain the standards of the present members.I am not speaking out against your views and the way you run your CC. I just want folks to put a little more thought into their decisions on WGT and it could possibly stop alot of this moanin and whinin I see all over the forums. Have fun and keep on golfin'.

Just set up 4 tournaments & name them round 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 total all the scores together after the 4 rounds.

Agreed. This would be the best CC feature. Not to mention an automatic Club member message system. And also a way to to create match-play tournaments from within the create tournament page.

Give the opportunity to create 24, 48, 72 hours, or 7 days between each tournament round up to 4 total rounds. Adding the total tournament scores together is a nice touch too.

The Club message system is simply a check-box by all the members names. Then write a message in a blog box (with the ability to send links) then simply put a check-mark in the box next to the member you want to send a Club message too. Its essential for notifying members about setting-up tournaments instead of copy & pasting a message on 50, 75, 100, 200 members' walls. Look at my profile activity, it's loaded with wall messages which is eating-up vital web-site resources.

Best upgrade would be the chance to run 1 club and join another. I have one club and it's a bit dormant, would rather not close it down.

Set up 30 credit tournaments and two players enter then WGT takes it's cut. Not worth it is it.

Sure would be nice to be able to have a credit prize without having to have members pay an entry fee.  The idea is to pay back to the members.

I know this thread goes back a long time, but when i first saw it in active threads, i thought wow, they have done something to improve play at country clubs! Wrong, the current country club setup is crap! There is so many things that could be done to improve country clubs. Would be so hard to play matchplay or alt tormaments? Why cant members of country clubs play a tornament round together? And how do we setup a tornament versus another club? I know all the smarties here will have the answer to that one, but i would like that option with a couple of clicks(challenge country club). And the biggest one is, WGT should give cc's some credits each month, (the amount depends on how many members), so that we can hold tornaments for prizemoney and giveaways. Im currently footing the bill for our latest tornie, and i can hardly afford a supply of balls. Please WGT...just saying IMHO

I don't really know what all the moaning is about. I create 'tier specific' tournaments at my club (Yorkshire County) and everyone knows and sticks to the rules about playing them (which I police) If a member cheats they get one warning and then they're removed. In that way, players of similar skills levels are able to compete against their peers and win something.

I have two simple rules; play regularly and play fair. (see my homepage for details) and anyone not sticking with it is removed. And no, I don't have a problem with losing people. I'm at the 250 max membership and have had to create a waiting list - so clearly the message gets round.

Yes it would be nice for WGT to offer prizes occasionally, but hey, compared to buying x-box games et al, it's not that expensive. (Although ball prices is a different matter I think)

I keep 10 open and 10 premium tournaments in play constantly and everyone seems happy; membership numbers speak for themselves.

Organising inter-club tournaments isn't a problem either; we've had three thus far with no problems.

You just have to be prepared to work at it guys!
