I believe EA has an exclusive contract for the TPC courses. I could be mistaken...

I would much prefer that WGT goes after the PGA courses.   I like Sawgrass, played it in real golf a number of times but in my mind it isn't a great course for WGT.  Also as GlassMan mentioned I believe that EA has all the TPC courses tied up.

guys, at this point ANY new course would be appreciated. this site couldnt be more boring course wise. free up whistler etc and get a new course at least 2-3 times a year. same ole is really wearing thin!! not to mention many wgt screwups in their programming. ever see a 7mph wind move more than a 19mph?? happens all the time!

I agree here.  Any new courses would be great.  Why not consider some , say local courses that aren't in the "big league status".  We have a number of courses in my area alone that are fun to play on and I'm sure there are courses around the country if not world that would love to be considered if WGT would approach them with the idea.  I would think it would bring revenue in , not only here, but the particular course as well.  Does it have to be restricted to the courses we see only on T.V.

Totally agree, Lost a lot of friends that have lost interest playing the same courses over and over again. A couple of those guys would spend $50 - $75 on month on just balls. WGT has lost them till they improve on the number of courses they offer.

EA Sports does have exclusive right to all Courses owned or Licensed by The PGA Tour. That includes All TPC courses. They have had that contract since the mid 90's when they brought out the first PGA Tour PC game even before they changed the name to Tiger Woods PGA Tour.

You are right as usual Born, the TPC courses are owned by the PGA tour, they aren't the same thing as the courses that the PGA is played on.  I believe they made the deal with the devil back in 90 to 95 as well.

TPC is a great course, I have had the chance to play it 5 times over the years.  However it is not very long and can't be stretched out much, that is the type of course that doesn't suit WGT well.   Kiawah for example is fairly tame when you play it at 6800 yards, move the tees way to where the Legends play Kiawah from and it is one of the tougher courses.  TPC Sawgrass is going to be more like Kiawah from the masters tees.  Hole 17 looks tough on TV and in real life, but on WGT it becomes a 133 yards 9 iron that the good players expect to hit inside 10 feet.

Harbour Town is similar, in real golf the small greens and narrow fairways make it tough, in WGT land I can hit a 295 yard drive in the fairway 85% of the time, that makes it a lot less tough than in real golf.

For All I Care They Can Make up Courses, Just Get More Courses Or I'm Done.  We Need To Make Them Feel It In Their Pockets And Strike From Playing For A Day Or Longer And See If They Get The Message When Traffic is Dead.
