courtney gave u some SOLID advice...yet u question it.... keep ya hybred then... an yer sucky short game...

go take yer own survey..by going to random different ppl's page's.... see how many have a hybred... an how many have 3 wedges...

then ..look at their stats... of the hybred user's... bet they are not as good as the ones with the three wedges..

    carry on....

It's time that you ditched the hybrid and got 3 equally spaced wedges. Then you need to practice the different kinds of wedge shot. Only use the chip on flat surfaces when you are no further than a yard or two from the green. Always try to use the flop on sloping greens and don't forget you can use a full shot from as little as 15 yards by only using a percentage of the scale. Good luck.

Can you tell me more about 3 "equally spaced wedges"?  I have a hybrid but it seems like I do not use it often.....what wedges do you suggest? I have 2 by Ping, the 54 & 60, please give me some advice??? I'm new & don't understand my clubs yet.

Can you tell me more about the advantage of carrying 3 wedges? I have a hybrid plus 2 Max wedges, the 56 and the 60. Should I lose my hybrid and get the 64 wedge too? I need some guidance as I'm not sure about this. I don't really use my hybrid too much.

You need to chill out, you will live longer.

I miss read what Courtney said, that is all. I wasn't sure what he was referring to. I thought he ment woods when he said wedges. which is why I listed the hitting distances of my woods, hybrid and long irons. So now I fully understand exactly what Courtney was trying to tell me, I will get rid of my hybrid and replace it with another wedge. the only question is which one?

I have the ping tour w 54 degree wedge that hits 105 yards and the ping tour w 60 degree wedge that hits 85 yards. so what would be a good wedge to add to those two? the 64 degree ping wedge maybe?

    Carry on my wayward son.

    a 64 degree is a must have i think...

the low level ping is OK.. kinda better than nothing... it has alot to do with your style of play..

some like the super spinny  clevelands that can do some serious tricks.....for myself  the upper level ATV wedges have plenty of spin for my personal preferance ... an a tad slower meter .. thats just for the 64 ... because i like a ball to roll out sometimes... and can control it better ....

the lower level ATV  and clevland are good... but NOT neer as wicked on spin capability..still nice around the greens tho ..for flopping ,,short chips an pitches..

    hope that helps... :)

    peace

Thanks Caroline.  (My parents couldn't spell. ) Let's just say that the lowest iron in your set hits 110 yards, then a good spread of wedges would be 50yd, 70yd and 90yd. That way there would be a 20 yard gap between each club. But don't forget that you can use punch shots too so it gives you at least 8 distances before you have to come down the scale a little.
